Took the maxx to the park today and after a moderate run it would not run at WOT. After a little bit it ran like normal. No crashes, jumps, nothing. Had a full tank, fully charged batteries in TX/RX. I am clueless!

Yeah, we kinda need a little more info. It could possibly be either the slipper or the clutch slipping, or linkage slipping. Did the engine rev up high and it didn't go, or did nothing really happen when you hit the throttle?

sorry for the lack of info.

It would run veeerrrry slow. It didn't rev any higher or bog down, nothing. No different sounds. there was absolutely nothing different from the way it normally runs except that it "shut down". It sounded like it was at idle, then, after about 15-20 seconds it picked up like nothing happened.

Just from my experience as a newbie, there were a couple of times, I would have similar issues with my Maxx. Thing is, after awhile, I noticed that it would do what you are talking about, after my rig would turn upside down from a minor mis-hap. Come to find out, after it sitting upside down on it's roof, the fuel tank lid would be just slightly loose, causing more air to come into the tank. This in turn would cause it to have NO power, and sometimes just out right die. You think this could cause your issue? Are you checking your tank lid for air leaks? Just something to think about. I have mine tuned pretty good, and it's not un-common for my maxx to be upside down, but when it does, the tank is the first thing I check when I upright it.

T.

Haven't checked the tank. I'll look into it more this weekend. Taking it out this weekend, if it doesn't rain. I didn't get a chance to check its temp while this issue happened, which is something I'll look into also.

I think this is kind of an issue with the Traxxas 2.5. Is this the engine you have? If it keeps happening I would call Traxxas. They are ALWAYS very nice when I call them.

No, I have a 3.3. I'm gonna see what happens this weekend before I call and ask about it.
