what plug are you using? What temps are you have in your area?
Here in Cali I run at an average of 70 lately. I use a medium plug and 20 %. My temps are running around 240's!

What about you?

Jon

My temps on regular tune are like 290*-310* Temps here alsow average 70*. long-hot plug, 20% top fuel.

Maybe you should try a medium plug. Like a MC-9. I am n ot familiar with your mill but the MC-9 will run at a cooler temp.

Dude maxx those temps are way too hot buddy. Take jon's advice and get a cooler plug and your mill will thank you later on my giving you more gallons of use.

Ok I'll see if I can go to the hobby shop today and find an MC-9. Thanks guys!

the mill is a .16 size engine btw. Would an MC-9 work for it?

well you tell us. Is it a long plug type head? Or is it a shorty?. I am not familiar with the mill.

EDIT- The MC-9 and Mc-59 are long plugs. I use them on my TT 21 pro on my MGT. They love em!!! AE was wromg issueing the shorty's. They also corrected themselves on that!!

Well boys, looks like it was all the plugs fault (cheap hobby town plug, lol) I had the other plug that came with the engne when I bought it and we're back on a good powerful tune with temps around 240-260*! Now I remember just how powerful this engine is lol! And I found out a trs does bring the throttle back if u go out of range! And i think I know why it happened right when I started using the WD40. The first time I used it, I literally took the plug out and filled it with WD40 to see how good it actually burned it off. And it didn't burn it all off either. Could that have made the plug run hotter? Can I still after-run the engine with WD40, only WITHOUT drenching the plugs? I just got done with the run and am letting it cool so I need a quick answer. Jon2, I kno I can rely on u for a quick answer! Thanks!

BTW, here's the engine I am running: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3184288825&category=44028 Except my baby ain't for sale!:classic:

It's got a nice price tag, nice power, and long lasting compression! Good combination for me!

Sorry for the late reply my PC is on the fritz. Anyways. Using after run oil is probably better as it just easier to apply. I tried the wd-40 method and it leaves a residue if left unattended. I ould use the wd-40 for heavy grime along with compressed air or an air compressor. Other than that I would stick to denatured alcohol for cleaning and After run oil to lube the piston and sleeve. THere really is no need to clean the plug . if there is dirt in it I would discard it to be safe as you don't want anything falling into the engine compartment.

Good luck!!

Jon

Ok well I just used it last night. So maybe I can go to the shop and get some ARO.:D
