I need a recommendation from you Savvy owners. While I have everything apart to put in the 3 speed kit, which clutch and CB would you recommend for an upgrade?

Yes they do but I'm looking for opinions from guys who have used them, or other clutches. Also which brand of CB they recommend. I know I have to go with a hardened CB with aluminum shoes.

What does it matter in a shelf queen? =devil

Seriously, I can't help you out any, mine's still stock, haven't seen a need to upgrade yet.

Well, I guess I'll stay with the stockers till they need replacement. I was thinking I'd need a much better clutch due to the weight, but the 3 speed trans should help.

LMAO, Racer 1966. I couldn't believe it when I saw 3-shoe aluminum clutch kits in assorted anodized colors! I just don't know why that would even be available unless someone has come out with a clear glass C bell.

you could see them with the vented bell. :D

Could be useing hard anodizing for better wear resistance and longer life. Not sure if that comes in a color selection or not though?

I've always liked the stock teflon shoes. I have run them in everything I owned at one point or another. My revo (after modding the chassis to move the trans forward for 1/8 clutch), my mammoth, my maxx (21 conversion), my savage and now my aftershock with an LRP 28 S3 in it. They have been holding up great.
