in the process of having it running, small issue with the pads not being covered completely by the cb. i think the flywheel posts are giving me the issue. can i file/grind them down 0.5mm or so? because atm i have to shim the bearing up by 1 shim otherwise its hitting the posts.

That's good right there I'd leave it.
Did you use the split beveled cone from traxxas? Or did the buku come with one?

R-5309, How do you like those clutch. I have been scoping that out to see what everyone's input on these CB set up. If you don't mind, pls keep me up to date on it. Thx in advance.

i used the one that it came with, the factory traxxas one pokes out a bit. i figure they are aloud to do that but just used the new one, it was practically the same just a tad shorter. i grinded down the posts 0.5-1mm so it fits snug now and the shoes are pretty much level with the top of the post. i have 5 shims behind the flywheel and a 0.1mm shim behind the bearing. havent had a chance to take it for a run yet. hoping to this avo australia time which is around 6-7hrs away. the quality seems to be pretty good tho...

Thx for the input bud, can you take some bashing vids like you did awhile back. Heck, I had fun Just watching those vids. & how yall bashed them till those trucks multiply, that's what I call bashing, run'em like they made for.:)

I notice you got the one with the bronze inserts. I got the one with the aluminum ones and so far all seems well, all went together but had to put cone as close as it would go to get propper gear alighnment, one thing for sure they work just how long time will tell

yeh apparently if you use them properly they shouldnt really wear unless they get over 500 degrees f....
