i was wondering if anyone new how the new traxxas 3.3 might compare to the O.S. 18tz? Along the lines of torque and speed? The 3.3 looks like a great "aftermarket" engine.

I dont think anyone has driven a 3.3 yet, other than Traxxas people... I really want one!

E-mail Slayden or PM him over the Traxxas board. I'd think him or Johnny Ringo, maybe a couple others have probably been running them over at SRH for a while now.

I hear you loud and clear olds, I was just responding with slayden's answer. I'm going to wait and see how it turns out before I do anything.

i would be willing to sacrifice a little power for stable tuning and longer life, though. only time will tell us which one is better, overall. i do just so happen to have an old 2.5r, though.....maybe i'll trade it in and guinea pig the 3.3....

Yeah, I have Sirio .23 in my Revo right now and i still have my "old" 2.5r left over, I was thinkin' of tradin' in the 2.5r for 3.3 as a backup.
