id have probibly pulled out my pellet pistol and fired a few back at him. of course, thats the point at which I'm sure the cops would get involved.

as for information for you. call your local police station and ask if there are any local noise ordinances. and if so what provisions they provide for making noise in excess of thier limits. even when there is an ordinance, you are usually allowed to make excessive noise for about 30min-1hour for stuff like lawn mowers and leaf blowers. if there is one, take it in to get DB tested to see if its within limits. if it is, invite your neighbor to call the police whenever they like, and advise them to bring a decible meter. once you prove your obeying the law, the most the police can do is tell your neighbor to stop calling them. if your car isnt within limits either buy a quiter pipe so that it is, or find somewhere else to run.
 
There are several houses for sale or rent in my neighborhood right now. There's just one more I have to take care of. Nitro runners welcome. You have nothing to fear.

If someone complains about you running a nitro car, you apologize politely, put it away, then spend the next 10 to 12 hours manicuring your yard with the weed whacker and the blower.
Follow this procedure every time they complain.
And by the way, when you're walking around with that .44 and talking to yourself, keep saying, "I'd rather go back to prison, where they give me the right medication."
 
and dont forget the neck twitch, and the occational random screaming of profanity.
 
Anyhoo, I know I piss of my neighbors, but they don't ever come out and complain. One did, he actually complained to me and then to my mom, but my mom just told him she wouldn't do a damn thing about me and my r/c's...lol

I live on a golf course and have had a few run-ins, but they really can't do anything. Mostly i'll just have ppl look at my r/c's in amazement of how fast they go. But most of my problems with other people come from the savage since the pipe is so damn loud...lol

Man its nice to live in a small town. if any of my neighbors come out and complain i will just tell them to stop all the dirtbikes and skidoos and i will stop running my rc. I dont think i will have any problems though because i have a 2 acre lot

I'm also lucky. I have only had one older guy come out. He just wanted to look at my 1/8th scale buggy. He thought it sounded cool and hauled ass. I though he was going to complain at first. He turned out to be a pretty cool old dude, said he used to race moto-x. We sometimes bash at 2:00 a.m. after work and always go to an industrial parking lot away from houses. I could see someone getting pissed if you were to do it in the street late at night or in the early hours of the morning. As for someone shooting at my ride. That f'r would be one sorry sob when I got done with him. Lets just say he probably would have an extremely hard time using that hand to shoot a pistol or wipe his crack for a long time. Property damage dosen't make as bold a statement as bodily damage does.

I've had noise control round on several ocassions at which point they have been told in no polite way were to go, by the time they go away and come back with a noise meter I'm already on my way to the track, when i get home i turn my gat up as loud as it will go, (which is pretty loud considering i play in a band) fir 10 minute burst just to piss the neighbours off a little more, then as soon as they make any noise i ring noise control, They soon get sick of coming :))))))
 
The cops came around where I run one time, and told us as long as it isn't for hours on end, real early in the morning, or after dark we were OK. Pretty cool cops I think. They might have just wanted to check it out.
 
tell ur neighbors 2 turn insulate their houses, it'll improve their home value.....

that or to turn their hearing aids down. the old people are prolly the 1s w/that stupid 19.95 sound amplifier they saw on TV 4 sale. haha.

but go about it in the pro manner, get the laws, have the info, talk 2 the police at the station. so if any complaints u have the power and u leave them 2 sulk in their sorrows in b'g wrong, b'g told by the cops 2 stuff it, their inability 2 b a badass or the community cop, and most of all....not having any capacity for having fun. which they could if u told em where the LHS is.

I guess I'm lucky to have somewhat cool neighbors. I have always been into loud little things (gopeds, RC's, ect.) I just try not to be too annoying, and havent had any problems in years. I'm sure every time they see me out with a new toy they just cringe, lol.
 
Wow! I never realized how bad it is with neighbors. Mine don't care at all. (An acre of land helps.) I live outside the village and our town ordinance is pretty relaxed. I even run at my old high school and people just watch or come up and ask me questions. I really feel bad for you guys having so many issues with your neighbors. That is why my wife and I won't move into the village, neighbors are way to nosey. If I were in your shoes guys, I would find out the laws in your area first and if your within the laws, run the he!! out of your rides on your property. That's just my :2cents:

But seriously you want to be as polite as possible... some people are just rude and out of control. Me and My bro used to have a neighbor that when the ball went over his yard would actually say "next time the ball comes over here I am going to keep it" As far as Nitro RC's go we as a group have to keep our reputation strong or there will be less and less places to run. It probably is a simular problem that skateboarders have... bad reputation and get run off everywhere they go.

I just dont understand it lawn mowers and yard equipment make just as much noise, i think yall are right when yall say they should turn their hearing aids down. guess ill jst have to go to the baseball fields from now on and the local parks, but still thats rediculous.

In Florida we can shoot people with real guns for shooting a pellet gun at us...."I feared for the safety of my life officer, he was firing a weapon at me and I had to defend my self"
if nothing else from the NRA I learned what to say.....

I'd like to see what he would do if I shot a few rounds at his house after a move like that......

and a .44 is for people that don't really want to hit their targets
just scare em w/ loud noise...

9mm w/ hollow tips is the way to go...
