I've been looking at 4600 7.2V NiMH batts for the big Humm-Vee since my 5000s don't seem to be holding very long. They're about 45 bux a pop, and I have a good charger.
However, I came across these for the same price, plus a Venom charger for 109. The LiPos are 7.4 each, so I need to know if my Novak HV brushless setup can run 2 of them instead of 2 NiMHs. I'd like to upgrade to Lipo if I have to replace the batts, but I don't want to risk burning out the electronics.
 
The HV ESC is rated at 2S-4S so a pair of 2S packs will be fine since it would equal a 4S.
 
I'm still dumb when it comes to LiPos. My helis have them, but they are the stock units. I didn't have to learn anything about their ratings.
I have no idea what S or C stands for.
 
Not that it answers your question, but i did just wana say i run those packs (one at a time) in my scalers and i LOVE them. Never had a problem, and get great run-time.

I've long since tossed almost all my NiCads, now it's time to start weaning off the NiMHs.
By the time all my batteries get replaced with LiPos, the new technology will be AmChO.

The S rating is the number of cells in series. The P rating is the number cells in parallel. I'm still kind of in the dark about what the C rating is though, I'm sure it has something to do with the discharge rate.
 
The C rating tells you the maximum discharge rate of the given pack. Take the C rating, multiply it by the capacity and voila you have your discharge rate. There are normally continuous and peak C ratings.

So a 25C 2100mAh pack can discharge at 52.5 amps.

That sounds familiar. Is that something that would be stated in the requirements for the ESC combo?

Most combo's tell you the current requirement

In response to your original question. :D

Pass the venom charger and get the Hyperion EOS 0606i (i think thats it) Its AC/DC and charges everything. (they make a DC only one so make sure its the ac/dc)

I ran a pair of polyquest 2S 6000's on my esavage with a Novak HV 6.5 setup and i got very long run times. The novak smart stop sucks tho. caused mine to glitch.

As for the C rating, the higher the better, it gives your more punch when you need it, but also cost more. But since this will just be another Shelf Queen I have no idea as to why you are even worried about batteries, we all know that the most action this thing will see is you pushing it around on a Egyptian cotton comforter going vroom vroom, LOL!!!! JK!!!!

It's for the lights, man. LEDs. It won't look right on the shelf without them.

Tower doesn't stock the Hyperion EOS 0606i.
Figures, so much for my $15 discount and free shipping.
