Need yall's opinion?

I was thinking about getting a buggy and this is what iI had in mind what do yall think its the OFNA 1/8 MBXpro RTR.

So is it a good brand and is it worth my money i dont want to make a bad choice. I would like to buy a RTR.

i have to say no if your looking for an 1/8 scale buggy go for the ofna pbs or the pcr. the buggy your looking at is more of an 1/10 scale buggy look at the tec notes its only 14.9'' long and 7.7'' in width..so IMO its half of a buggy.
the pbs or the pcr is 19.6 long and 13.8 wide...so you be the judge..don't buy it.. get your self a real buggy

i agree.. the ultra lx.. mbx and those versions are not that great.. however.. there is a new ultra lx pro version 2 or something like that.. that has some good stuff on it.. the updated parts and all that.. however.. they are not great racing buggies.. the good buggies ofna makes is the Hyper 7 versions.. PCR, PBS, those are good buggies.. to start off with..

i have 2 OFNA Ultra MBX Pro's and they are a great bashing buggy to screw around with. ASking about a buggy is like asking about a t-maxx or a savage, everyone has there opinion.

Depends on your price, if you want a good value get the MBX Pro but if you can afford it, get the PBS or PCR, or consider the Violator for speed. The new Mayhem has good reviews but that is also around 550 dollars.

If you want a MBX Pro, you should at least wait for the MBX Pro Comp to come out.

Friend of mine has the Ultra MBX Pro. I think it's a nice little buggy.

Sitting next to my storm, it's almost exactly the same size. So I dunno man..

There's a guy that runs one at the track and consistently does very well against all the Mugens, Hyper 7's, and the two Storms (mine included.) He's a good driver. Unless you're racing against real pros, then it's just like everyone says. It's all about the driving, not so much so about the car.

I think it's a real buggy and the price is low. It's a good starter buggy. If you're entirely new to the hobby, I think it's fine. I found the parts to be quality, and I've seen one get really smashed around with good results. With the extra hundreds you didn't spend on a different buggy, you can buy all the extras that you'll want, like more fuel, starter boxes, tools, screws, etc.

OK ill add a little more about why buying this buggy is wrong..
if your a basher.like iam and money is not a problem.then go with the pbs or pcr.if not your going to spend the same money right off the bat doing hopups.
to try and make it better.you see it in her every day.some one that has bought a lower end r/c.and the next week they are looking to up grade it.
SO IMO.start at the upper end of the line.of the company of your choice.
And i have been there done that.and have seen many others do the same thing..

yeah that formula works.... i did it with my racer 2 and drake. barely any upgrades needed money well spent at the start

if you're looking to spend as little money as possible, i'd recomend the x-terminator for $330. it's more durable than the mbx, and has an awesome engine. mine rips
