Hey Guys,

I am looking to upgrade the spur, CB, and driveshafts on the my Tmaxx 2.5. Any suggestions on an economical solution? I know it is going to cost some, but I was hoping to keep it well under $200 if possible. Also if I upgrade the driveshafts, do I need to upgrade the Diffs? Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks guys.

Tom

RRP daul disk slipper kit for spur
plaidfish is selling 1 ,
clutch bell i would recomend a vented depending on if you want low end grunt then 16t bell with a 72t spur
axles i havent gotten that far with mine yet ,but the RRP slipper kit is awsume

Some nice CVDs would be a great drivetrain upgrade. I ran MIP CVDs on mine.

I run full cvd's center, and front and rear with Maximizer diff's with the stock spur and bell and it works awsome, I might upgrade the spur to a RRP slipper set-up but I doubt it since so far this is a pretty much bullet proof set-up but I mostly only race and if the spur does go it is a $3.00 part to fix and they are cheap and easy to keep on hand.

Which maximizer setup did you get? I'm running the Ultimate setup without the gears in the diff cup...

Same here, just love it too...no more worries about it breaking, I used to eat those diff cups up left and right-but it was do to me putting my tie rods on the top of the steering hubs-oops but haven't had any probs since I fixed it and now with the Maximizer's and all the cvd's I never even think about it any more.

Have you ever had any probs with one side slipping more than the other when going in a straight line? i think i didnt put enough washers in the rear the first time. I think i fixed it this time...

even my backup Maxx roller has the f&r cvd's(no center) and a brand new stock diff F&R and spur. I am looking to get rid of it but not enough posts to post it in the for sale forum if someone would want it for the drivetrain ? it is under the $200 mark at $150 and it is the 2.5 version, *hope I am not breaking any forum rules just tryin to help out if you need drivetrain part's*
my email is 2185906191@msn if anyone needs it.

I did not set-up mine I bought a buddies Maxx when I busted mine up and the diff's were allready in it and set-up for me but I had enough part's between the two to fix both--I just put the best of both trucks into the one and now I am getting rid of the old one there go the post above--lol but no no probs at all so far .
