O.K. I got a MGT off ebay for a really good price I have been doing some upgrades to it. I recently got a XTM .28 for an even better price. The engine came with a 13 tooth clucth bell. That seened kind of low. The spurs I have are 46 and 49 teeth. What would be good good combo for bashing? I am looking for a good top speed and some really good excel too. Should I get a different clucth. If anyone could help me I would be truely grateful. Also I have a problem with the engine moving away form the spur gear I use thread lock on the mount but it stills moves. Has anyone had this problem? If you can help me please do.

Well, 15/52 is stock in the original MGT. From what I recall, it's engine wasn't all that impressive. 16/52 was stock in the 4.6 MGT.

15/49 would be pretty close to 16/52, a tad slower but not much. 15/46 would be faster.

Dose any one know where I can get a 18 tooth clutch bell for my XTM .28?
Dose anyone know where you can get a metal spur gear for my mgt, I am looking for a 46,47,48 tooth gear. Can I use a spur form a differnet truck, dose anything else fit the MGT? I had the truck running the oher day and it got to top speed with in 20 feet and that wasn't all that fast. It was alot faster with my old engine(buy the way i was using a 13 tooth bell and a 52 tooth spur)dose anyone know what I should do please help Me!

i just notice your thread i hope you still around for your answer the mgt has a 1/8 clutch setup so you can run anything from 13 to 19 ofna clutchbell the 15/49 sounds like a good starting point
