I just bought a T-maxx 3.3 a couple of days ago and love it.. Now my buddy is sell me his T-Maxx 2.5 for $ 100..My question is it has a Picco .21 engine in it..I'm really really new to nitro rc just wondering if that engine is original or aftermarket, and should I replace it or keep it for now. Thanks guys in advice. :\

It is an after market engine. The T-Maxx 2.5 came with a Traxxas 2.5 engine.

If the drive train was not upgraded when the Picco was put in, you will probably start breaking parts.

For a $100 though, I would keep it and drive like I stole it as is and replace anything that breaks.

Thats one hell of a deal if the drive/axle shafts are steel!

I'll have to ask him if the drive/axle shafts are steel..Everything that his put in a hobby shop installed for him..I gave him $ 70 for it,that includes controller, batteries for the ez start i think thats what its called and charger.Does the stock 2.5 comes with a aluminum chassis or is it plastic.
