I have a friend that is trying to sell me a savage 25 with quite a few upgrades and I dont know what a good price for it is. Here is some of the things that he has on it. Jumbo kong tires and wheels, HD dogbones, Hi-tec servo, aftermarket head, humppack, and everything to start it with including a gallon of fuel. The truck is only two weeks old and had about half a gallon through it. It has the usual minor scratches but nothing major. What would be a good price for everything. I know that the truck runs great because I was there when the truck was broke in and there for every tank and also done the tuning so I know that the motor was not abused. He is asking 600 for it. Thanks for your help. Matt

Hmmm doesn't sound like a bad deal at all. Those are quite a few upgrades that you won't have to do and that takes a lot of slop that the stock savage has such as steering and things like that. If the truck is in fact only two weeks old and has that little use on it make him an offer of a little bit less and see how he takes it. Remember R/C cars work just like a real one as soon as you take out of the LHS it loses value just like that. I am guessing that he has well over $800.00 in that truck though.

he says he has about 850 in it. I probably could get it for 500 if I give cash. Thanks Matt

IMO, it depends on if you wanted the "add-ons" to begin with would determine if its worth it.

Sure your buddy may have all that cash into it and with all that stuff 500 bucks would be a good price, again if its all you wanted.

For me it would almost be a break-even. I'd really only want the hump pack and servo. I'd rather have the stock rims and tires as those Kongs put more stress on the diffs and gear box.

So for the stuff I wanted, I could get all that at Towerhobbies for just over 5 bills and it would be brand new....

So, it depends on if you want the those extras....
