are these the ofna violator shocks? i remeber some saying good things about these shocks.

does anyone know if the ofna mbx-5 rear buggy shocks are cool to run on the savage?

what about the rear ofna xi cr shocks?

how do you like the ride/feel. hows it handle corners and jumps?

Not quite as pillowy as stock. The way I have them setup, they stand resting almost fully extended. I run 40 weight w/ the navy blue springs that came with them (second stiffest). Handles jumps great, cornered like crap with black springs and 50 weight and was bouncy off the jumps, but since I've gone with the lighter oil and springs, it handles a lot better.

This is a front shot of how it stands with the navy blue springs. It's an old pic of when I swapped out the black for blue.

what arm can we use using buggy shocks for savage 25?

It's a new era arm. Unless you run extended tvp's I don't think you can run 4 shocks on the rear as they hit the header, or at least rub on it heavily.

I run 4 OFNA 9.5 buggy shocks and really like how it handles and holds up.

Here's a link to New Era's arms at thier site: Savage upper Arms with Shock mount holes

I've seen them on eBay for less, but of course, I had already bought mine.

Oh, I bash only, so I don't know how it would be to race with this setup. I know it doesn't give you much adjustability, but for bashing, who cares? If you want adjustabiltiy, you might want to go with Nova towers or FLM towers instead of upper arms.

For FLM towers, go to: http://www.fastlanemachine.com/ click on products and choose savage. They are the first thing in the list.
