  1. Bashing
Have a tmaxx 3.3 (4907) that has about 3/4 of a gal of fuel through it (break in and mild bashing) now when I start it it begins to run away. Hit the breaks and it stalls. The idle is not high and if I idle down any more it won't stay running. Thought it was a clutch issue but when the engine is off everything spins freely and doesn't appear that the clutch is hung up. Any advise will be greatly appreciated!!!

You need to tune your carb. On the 3.3 my best luck has been with the low speed need ( the screw where the throttle link is connected) is flush with the wall and the high speed needle( the big black screw beside the fuel line) is all the way in and back off about 5 full turns to start. And the idle screw being set to when the filter element is off you looking at the slide inside the carb. Make sure the gap is between 1 1/2 to 2mm ( about the width of a dime maybe less ) start the truck and when it's warmed to running temp turn the high speed needle clockwise 1/4 turn at a time run it wide open back and forth make sure it's kicking into 2nd gear. If not turn high speed needle another 1/4 clockwise till it does kick into 2nd gear. When high speed is tuned then if idle is low turn idle screw clockwise to idle up and if high turn counterclockwise to lower idle. You want the idle just high enough to where the truck isn't moving forward without gassing it.

Its also possible you may need to adjust your linkage. When I first put my OS .18 in my 2.5 everytime I hit the brakes it would stall out cause the brakes would fully close the carb. Just a thought. Good luck!!

Also read your manual on tuning it's pretty accurate as far as what you need to know on tuning. And it's gonna be a NEED TO KNOW HOW to do thing every time you run it depending on different weather/ humidity. Hot and cold. When tuned right it will have immidiate throttle response and kick into second gear correctly and you will always see just the right amount of blue smoke coming from the pipe. No blue smoke means running too lean and hotter temps and motor will overheat stall and cut out under throttle. Too much blue smoke means wont shift and sluggish performance and poor throttle response.

there is also the possibility that you have shredded a gear in the transmission i would take it apart and have a quick look

True as well. I did break the screw pin on my main shaft in the tranny at the same time my slipper went out. Gears breaking are a possibility.
