Need Help

I Have a savage xl. Every time I try to top speed, it would only get stuck on the first speed .Also The caburator pops out every time i accelerate to try to reach top speed.What do I do?

Back pressure have you taken the trans. Apart yet to see if everything in there is ok?sounds like ur over reving the enigine and building pressure thats what is blowing ur carb off.

When your engine over revs. It builds pressure by your tranny gears not working too much of a strain on the motor ran into the same problem on my revo.what tires are you running?what gearing?

I'm using all terrain tires and i'm not sure about the gears.

Your carburetor is OBVIOUSLY not secured properly causing an air leak which in turn causes a lean condition which will cause it to over rev.

^^+1 Tighten down the nut securing the carb, then retune.

Put some high temp RTV on the carb first and then tighten it down.

If you don't think you can make the repair stated above take it to your local hobby shop. There's a small chance that you could over tighten that bolt and damage the engine.
