hey all...
need help with my new xlb i was trying to break in today. While on my first tank of run in, my xlb would all of a sudden take off and i would lose control of the buggy, and the engine would just scream until i could catch it and shut the engine off. I am running an xtm 1100 reciever pack and i run an mx-3s. I was wondering if their are compatibility issues with my radio or what could be causing my buggy to just all of a sudden take off at full throttle. I disconnected the xtm fail safe that comes with it because my guy at my lhs told me that the xtm fail safe is not compatbile with the mx-3. I was wondering of my radio is my problem?

Not sure WHY the failsafe is not compatable(possiblie, but never heard of it). Make sure the failsafe works the right way. ie, not going full throttle instaed of full brake.
With everything connected, turn everything on but not running! Shut the radio off and see if the failsafe pushes in your brakes or pulls to WOT. There SHOULD be a way to change it if that is the problem.

Sounds like the rx pack is not charged. You are using the mx-3's rx?

is your batt pack plugged in good.any loose connections?i know this sounds stupid but is your door on your radio on good.to hold the batteries in position?

I have the MX-3s and have used XTM FS's in the past with no problems. Are you using a synth Rx with that Tx? If not you may have brand compatibility issues. Get a synth Rx!
