i have a revo 3.3 and last night i was going to start playin with it and when i started to go the motors RPMs would go sky high but the trcu would go 3 MPH idk whats going one with it any help would be grate

agree with mac, that would be the first place i look. tighten it all the way down the back off a 1/4 to a 1/2 turn. just snug, dont crank on it.

before tearing apart the clutch, check the shafts, both centers and the outdrives. if you lost a grub screw it could cause this problem.

I would just tighten it 1/8 of a turn until it doesn't slip. Then you can back it off a little til you get it where you want it. Tightening all the way is a good way to break the pressure plate......I've done it.;)

i was going by what traxxas knowledge website says. "tighten down, then back off 1/8th of a turn"

Depends on the slipper setup. Ones with springs, you usually tighten until the spring is compressed completely, then back it off. The others that have the belleville washers () act as the spring. If you tighten those down hard, it will flatten the washer which ruins the "spring" effect. So you have to be more careful when installing the nut. Normally just tighten it down so it's snug, then adjust it when running.

Sorry beason, I was just speaking from my own dumb luck. I've busted pressure plates and ruined the washers too.

ok thanks i took it to the beach last night and it ran like a raped ape it was cool as hell you guys r life savers!!!

I guess the beach is a pretty popular place to run them, I think this is like the 5th time I've heard of people doing it

yea run it were the water makes it flat and you can get the speed up it is cool just dont put it in the water like my buddy did.... he fliped it and went into the water he was PISSED lol:hehe:

I'm going to try to make a full pipe for my truck and if you like to bash a good place to take it is the skate park!! I'm goin to go up there prob tomorrow
