i have a savage 25 i was running it very good until it flip over and landed in the headsink and it broke a little piece from the crankcase it was a little piece where the screw goes and know every time i start up my engine it turns off if i give it a little throtle and if i leave her idling it shuts off in less that a minute i all ready fixed the broken piece but something still wrong with the engine.i all ready leaned her a little but no luck i was doing the same thing.i dont know whats wrong i need some help . can eny body help my my engine its just 1 month old and a gallon and a half has gone thru it with no problem until it flip on the headsink. thanks any help.

but about how much will they charge. any idea or is it better to send the engine back and get an exchange for only $99 and they will send me a new engine.

sounds like a air leak somewhere. check the motor for anymore cracks.

the engine has a little whole about 1mm wide but i already coverd it with blue rtv silicone .but i remove the silicone today becauseit was coming off i dont know why but it was coming off. so i put some more silicone all around the crack but i havent tried it . anything i can do to fix that.

may want to try something like JB Weld. if that doesn't seal the crack then you probablly will need to get a new crankcase. it has to be able to hold pressure in the crankcase.

is that jb weld is expensive and were can i get it from. thanks

JB Weld... any auto parts store, not expensive.

So you snapped a piece off the motor mount footing AND you've got a hole in the crankcase? Does this hole look like it was punched from the inside out? Cuz that would be bad, mmmkay?

TRD may have given you the best advice. If you do take the JB Weld approach you'll void any warranty you might have had. If you do want to attempt to patch the hole with JB Weld you'll want to disassemble the engine to do it.

what do you mean by disassenble the engine . you mean i have to remove the piston and every thing inside or do you mean to remove the engine from the mount and the truck. thanks any way.

yeah and by the way the whole looks like it was made by a side of the engine mount like if it felt in the right rear corner of the mount.

true,true

You'd want to take everything out of the case. (With the exception of the crankshaft bearings.) This makes it easier to clean the surface that the JB Weld needs to adhere to. It's also how you'll be able to make sure a blob of JB on the inside of the case won't be an interference point for the crankshaft or the connecting rod.

You might try and plead with HPI first.
