Hi all

I have a bit of a problem with the carb on my new Picco ,26 max engine in my Revo, the sliding valve(the one the lsn fits into) seems to get stuck in half closed/open position and the servo can't close it??

I have tried to lube both the needle and those small O rings on it as the valve itself but still is gets stuck)=

any help is appreciated

Regards

Check the angle of your carb to the throttle linkage. You want the throttle linkage to be as parallel to the movement of the carb barrel as possible. If it's at an angle, it tends to make them bind.

All you have to do is loosen the carb neck bolt, turn it, push down on the carb with your thumb and tighten it back up.

May want to also look at the idle screw adjustment.
There is a groove in the slide body the idle screw rides in. I may have a burr or have some crap stuck in it. Remove the linkage and idle screw and the slide body should come out.

When you put it back in make sure the groove with the angled ends is the one that rides on the idle screw. the 2nd groove isn't as pronounced and is not the one to align with the screw.

Thanks for the info guys, i got it running, it just needed fuel in the carb to lube it, well atleast it got right as soon as i got fuel into it:)

This engine is just incredibly powerful, enormous leap from my stock Trx 2,5r engine...

Only thing I'm wondering about is the tune pipe, i have the original traxxas pipe in it, is it good enough for such a big engine?

I had to richen it alot from factory to brake it in and i think it´s becuse of the pipe or am i wrong?

Regards

Your pipe will work just fine.
Pipes are another tool for tuning the power band. Yo will find that different shapes and sizes will make your mill preform better or worse in different places of the power band. Do some reading if your looking to get a new one and choose accordingly.
