hi i have 2 tracks here and i can't get only a few people to my track i have a oval track and a motocross type track . my local hobbie shpe dont do much of anything to pomote these tracks and i put every week in the ad in the paper . and post this in the stores so what am i missing ? and how do you get those banners that says tamiya' kyosho' losi; ect' :spit:

For the banners usually the shops get them to promote a certin product.

There are alot of NY'ers here so maybe could find somthing here.

not a lot of people into rc waddington ny wish so rc people lived here

Post some pics of the track, & list some towns that are within an hour driving distance of your track. This may spark some interest...

from driven a hour alexandria bay is the closest

up state ny bhy canada

No one from Canada will get to NY within an hour drive.

To help ya out... Go to high school and promote RC's and tell them to come see the people racing on the track. Do some events.. i dont know. Post some banners on the beam lights in the street with the track pic.. Promote it on the most popular radio station. instead the newspaper

RCCA is the RC magazine Radio Control Car Action. Look in the back of their magazine (it's in every one) at the track locator.

spyhunter - I know this post is a bit old but if you're still around, advertise. I know it's expensive but there are often people just out of site looking for you too, but might never know. I am amazed at the number of track websites out there that don't even post their address or phone number, then complain they can't get any business.

Locally, invest a few bucks in flyers and post them everywhere you can get away with. When they all get torn down, go around in a few weeks and post them again.

More than anything, be accessable. Have a phone number where you can be contacted, and answer it. If you can afford it, run a yellow pages ad and maybe a small newspaper ad in the Entertainment section.

One of the ways of being accessable is to have your own site, one that has your contact info and pics of your tracks. If you don't have one - click the link in my sig, you can get a free website there until you get your own set up. You don't need to know how to build a website to use the free page feature.
