I'm working on a Tmaxxx 3.3 for a friend... When I start it off the ground on a stand the wheels are turning...(should they be?) and then I go to put it on the ground to run it dies.. I loosened the clutch to the point of the truck doesn't move (i know it's too loose) retighten it a bit but it still dies when it touches the ground. any ideas whats wrong? Thanks

Sounds like the clutch is stuck. When you stop the wheels, you stop the engine. Check it out.

Yeah, has nothing to do with the slipper. Check the manual and see how to set it properly again. It sounds like sv250 may be right. A busted clutch spring inside the clutchbell. Or a fried bearing on the clutch bell causing a lot of drag.

These engines have very little torque at idle RPM's and will stall out just by lightly touching the flywheel with a screwdriver. So, it takes very little drag to stall it at idle.

Thanks for the replies guys I'm gonna check it out today..

Yeppers turns out it was a broken clutch spring. Thanks again for the tip!:D

Chaeck the clutch spring. The spring breaks letting the shoes ingauge the clutch.
