When i got the sc10, the motor was weak, so i replaced it with an identical reedy radron 17t motor, and smoked it after 5-8 outings.:(

What motor can i run on this rig to give me the same performance, without the thing burning up so quick? Its all stock, esc, gearing, tires, everything, running 2s lipo.

Thats a 2wd drive correct, Castle motor with a sidewinder esc or a mamba max pro, if it is a 2wd then the higher the kv the better, if its a 4wd get alower kv like a 2400. Caslte is great stuff.

thanks for that info, but i dont want to dump a bunch of cash in it, i just want to replace the motor with the stock equivilant, but one that will last longer.

I've heard the titans are noticeably slower then the reedy 17t. have you ran both?

I've run the Titan 12t, and the Losi 14t. I haven't run the Reedy, but the Titan seems to be rather solid.

I know you said you don't want to stick alot of cash in it, but did you know Castle has a esc/motor combo for SCTs for around $100?

yea I've seen the castle ones, the reedy ones, and some traxxas ones for about that price.

go to hobby partz buy the hobbywing 35a brushless esc for less than 30 dollars & a tacon 17 turn motor for 25 bucks. I have the 60a esc love what it does 4 the price. I got the 17 turn on order
:)

HobbyKing has a lot of electronics that they make, and they basically just copy what the name brands are doing and put their name on it
