My savage X SS I bought all in parts off of ebay so I can't measure this myself. I'm gonna be putting it together soon but I wanna buy a Savox SA1230SG but I wanna make sure its gonna fit first. The Savox servo is 9mm taller than the stock one. Can someone tell me if a 45mm tall servo will fit in a Savy X?

Thanks!

It will fit :D but it will push your servo horn a little up (or down, whichever way you look at it). My steering linkage has a ball end on it so it would just rotate with the change in height. Hope this helps.

The servo mounts upside down from the kit right? So there is 9mm of space between the bottom of the stock servo and the bottom of the RX case (I believe the RX case is right above the servo if I remember my old friends Savy right). The reason I'm asking is because if it is upside down the there wont be any change to the steering linkage as the extra 9mm are all below the mounting tabs.

yes its upside down you may have to widen your hole for the servo cable to go through, because it will pinch it if you dont. I had to widen mine out a nice bit.

Yes, it mounts upside down. There is not 9mm of space from the bottom of the servo case as it mounts up against a plate at its bottom. That's where the change in your linkage will come in.
