Well the throttle brake servo on my baja went totally Ape shi-winging from a tree throwing poo. Would not respond to any inputs....and OF COURSE it was WOT when it happened....lol. Yeah why would it happen at an idle right? what fun would that be? So I mannaged to keep it doing doughnuts and got it pinned up against a fence so i could get it killed. I had a fail-safe but that only works IF the throttle servo still works. Well it's totally fried...no idea what happened. So I have a new little friend pictured below......

But it is still not what I need ......it needs to be "Modded" There it is on the operating table below.

Now here it is again with a new coat of heavy duty shrink wrap and is now my new BAJA KILL SWITCH.

If the run-away ever happens again the second the reciver looses signal the engine will die in its tracks.

man i need to get one of those kills switches, the guys on HBF swear by them.

It "was" a Hitec 645MG....it was my fault that it happened. The 645 is an analog servo and I did not realize my 3PKS was running in HRS mode which will fry all non digital servos....I thought I had switched it back to PPM...but I guess not. I just was not paying attention and damn near lost my rig because of it. I got to pumped up to go run and just forgot to look. Lesson learned though.

I'm surprised you were able to use it at all. The last time I made that mistake trying to setup some electronics it was so glitchy I couldn't help but notice.

Strangely enough it was not glitchy at all when running HRS. I wish it would have been so it would have been brought to my attention better... But anyway.. I checked the switch out whith an OHM meter last night after I modded it and I intend to install it tonight and give it the real check out. I am just very luck it was in an area where it could be controlled and no one got hurt. Only damage to the buggy was the servo cooked and the rear tires are now toast from doing burn-out on the side walk. It laid down some rubber for sure. The stock tires are now drag slicks though. I still think I got off easy though.

nice work there joey. very neat.

Beason you definitely need one for your baja. a kill switch is a must. i had my baja lose it signal in the yard and the KS shut it down almost instantly. the beast just coasted to a stop.
