RC Driving Style
My wife and I have been going to Dover for the NASCAR races for over 5 years now and have been fans for much longer. This past Sunday was our last outing of reserving seats in advance. If you are a NASCAR fan, you should be disgusted with the dumb assed rules and constant changes they make with things. It is more and more starting to look just like "the show" that drivers claim to need to put on for the fans. The newest rule of no racing back to the caution is not at all bad, in fact it is very good. The bad part is the "giving" a lap back to the first car a lap down! That's just plain bullshit! At Dover, the #12 was two laps down and ends up winning the race? At Dover a driver would be lucky to get a lap back yet alone two of them and then win. That means that the #12 had to come from the rear of the feild two times and pass every car on the track and then stay there. I don't buy it, no car is that fast and if they are they cannot be legal. It would not have mattered who won under those circumstances, it would still be bullshit. Nascar looks like it should be renamed "WWF on Wheels". Who knows, maybe the pre race driver meetings are actually to decide who is going to win as long as they don't wreck. Dover had several of the famous Nascar cautions of stuff on the track which convieniently stacks up the field again.
Another example of how Cooperate America completely screws something good up. That race was a total waste of $194 for two tickets! We left with about 75 laps to go and that we have NEVER done to date.

i agree!! this year has been the worst for nascar to me. i havent really been into since Dale was killed anyway but now its just plain boring. they might as well have a 2 or 3 lap shoot out and call it the day. i have only been to one bush race which was free and i will never go to a cup race mainly because I'm not paying $100 just to get in and sit in a cramped metal chair with the drunk guy beside you in your lap. thats what i love about NHRA drag racing. last one i went to it was $45, $30 to get in $15 to get in the pits and meet the drivers and teams. granted you might only see your driver run once for just a few seconds but you can always count on him being in the pits signing autographs when he/she is done. i will stick with watching nascar on TV!

Yeah, nascar has become nothing more than a money show for cooperations. About everything you see in the vendor area has to have the sposner poop plastered all over it. Very few items with just a driver and car number anymore. We have been to Dover, Richmond, Martinsville, and Bristol over the years. I'd have to say I probably would go back to Bristol but only because it is the most incredible track I've ever seen and that would be considered more a vacation. We have given up our seats at Dover and have no plans of buying any for any track.
It's pretty sad when big money has to screw things like this up. When drivers show they are pissed off, they get fined and or suspended or some dumb "probation" poop to make it look like nascar is really doing anything. Let them go, let them fight, let them bitch. That's the American way!
How the hell can drivers like Rusty, Martin, Gordon, Garrett, Elliot, Rude and the other veterans be contiually outrun by the inexcperienced and rookies. I just don't buy it.
Time to dump Nasar and turn to maybe Sprints and or just some weekend roundy-rounds. Better yet, a local R/C track where we don't let anyone win unless they earn it.

Ever since Earnhardt died, Nascar has benn changing rules left & right. But u are right about the last race. There is no way that Ryan Newman should have won the race.

WOW! Some people are finally seeing what i have been saying for 10years. Glad to see you guys have seen the light.

Want to watch nascar at home? spray paint 44 ping pong balls different neon colors, then flush them down the toilet. round and round they go!

Get in with the cool crowd, and check out some real racing, with real drivers, and real technology - watch an F1 race

I'm with NA on this one F1 racers have some serious skills compared to those nascar drivers, but the best racing is rally and the trans am and grand am races. No offence to those of you who like nascar but I seriously think that the pit crew has more talent in nascar racing.

specter - trans am series, well any of the SCCA series are gret to watch, but not televised as much. the ALMS is also awesome, as the are basically just F1 cars with fenders.

NA- That's very funny.:jk: I like any type of car racing. F1 do have skill and they are a bit more entertaining.
