Nanophosphate batteries?

I'm used to charging LiPo 2 and 3s batts on small chargers that just connect to the balance plug. Apparently the LiPos will need the same setup on this charger.

I got this configuration, rather than the one above since it
would give me 2 options for mounting.

The canopy comes up short as far as fitting this in, but my 600 size canopy just arrived today, untrimmed and unpainted.

My first charge was on 0.8 amps, since I didn't change that setting. The charger timed out at the 60 minute mark I had it set at.
I've run it quite a bit while programming the ESC and balancing the flybar and the rotors. Amazing power and still not showing any signs of slowing down.
I spotted some info today regarding a cut off no lower than 12V.

I guess I should charge it at 2.3 amps before it flies.

when you set the timer to cut off at 60min.
remember to set the capaicity cut off at 2300 mah also.
charging at 0.8 for one hour only puts in 800mah you should charge at 2.3 for 60 min.
i have set my cut off timer at 70min but the capacity cut off i change for each battery depending on the capacity it has.

Thanks for that.
If I set the cut off at 2300mAH, would I even need the timed cut off?
I think that was more of a safety feature, like the temp cut off.
The charge it got at 800 never even raised it above room temperature.

the capacity cut off is just as important as timer. i would rely on timer as a back up to capacity cut off. The temp probe i would use if my batteries was old and been used and abused a lot.

I'll go with all 3 safety features since I'm not familiar with this battery yet.
Thanks for all your info. I think I'll soon be switching out all my heli batteries as different sizes of the Nanophosphate batts become available.

Have you got any advise on cycling, or if it's even necessary?

i wouldn`t cycle charge them, just charge when there flat after use, as there is no memory effect.
I would always balance charge them and charge at the battery specs for charging.
