Hey all, new to this site, I joined because I would like to share my project with all of you, mainly because when i started this project some time ago, i could find no pictures or discussions of the project i had in mind, so therefore I am now sharing mine.
Maybe it has been done before maybe not, I don't know.
A couple of years ago I bought a Nanda racing buggy from a friend as i wanted to try out the hobby, not knowing that this buggy is actually just a really cheap knock off of the HPI Savage.
But anyway, played with it quite a bit actually, then the engine gradually lost compression and wouldn't start anymore, so i replaced the engine for another one (Thunder Tiger) played for a while with that engine, and then she got put away for a while. Until recently, Iv been busy custom building a slightly larger engine on.
Just testing the waters here to see if anyone is interested in the built and the almost finished project.
The images I have added here are of the car not long after I got her and then of the second engine i put on.
And before anyone asks, the sellotape on the wheels is so i could drift on the grass without any damage to the grass, lol.

Hey all, to carry on, I had the idea of putting a pocket bike motor on the Nanda, didnt know if it would work, didnt know what it would do, but hey if not, why not lol.
2 of the main things that had me wondering was how to mount this engine and 2, what ratio much i use.
I decided to keep the ratio the same to start out with, so now i had the ratio and chain length figured out, I could decide on the mounting, so I made dummy mounting blocks with wood and angle iron to test it it would work that way, and then after i made aluminium brackets from some old aluminium i had laying around, and it all turned out nice, but there was still lots to do.

The engine I wanted to use!

And then some pics once the brackets were made and engine mounted.

Thanks all for the replies, it does run ,I have drove her around the yard a bit, but because of the high ratio, she has more power then speed.
I`m still going to look into reducing the ratio. But for now here are some more pics of the exhaust on and the throttle cable from the servo.
And the bracket i made for the receiver. I have in the meantime realized that the tank mounted on top of the motor was a bad idea as every time she rolls over, it damages the tank and brackets so I am going to remount the tank on the right hand side between the wheels, where its out of harms way.
My dad is not very happy with me for wanting to change the ratio as the drive sprocket (9 tooth) I couldn't buy anywhere so my dad made 1 for me on the lathe.
This car has so much power now that when changing to second gear, she even wheelies lol.
I will later or tomorrow take a video to show you guys.

Hahahaha thanks Rolex!!! So the petrol tank down the bottom seems to be giving me some grief, I was hoping that I could use exhaust pressure to push the fuel to the carb, but alas there is not enough pressure to get it all the way up there, takes me to almost completely block tthe exhaust to get any movement, so I am now going to use a diaphragm petrol pump from a bike, well hopefully, will post when its done and let you know if it works. Here is a pic of the pump I'm going to use:

Well guys, made a vacuum pipe for the intake manifold, tapped the manifold and installed the pipe, temporarily fastened the pump to see if it would work, and it did pumps fuel like no body's business lol. Check pics!!
