I run 4mm titanium skids on my truck, and they take some serious abuse.
I've seen the titanium ones rip bolts out of the bulkheads and chassis rails. A buddy of mine had some from new era. They were so stiff that they didn't really flex at all and just almost ripped his truck in half when he landed hard on the nose.
Made pretty sparks on the concrete though!:flamer:
I have had them on a few years now, no ripped bolts in anything. Maybe your friend had integy bulks!:
