Sorry, don't know the truck. But there are a few things you can check. Engine bolts, are they all extremely tight? Gear mesh between clutchbell and spur, is it set right. should be minimal slop. Do you have a cracked brace somewhere allowing chassis flex? Do you have a spur slipper? If so, is it set to tight and not allowing slip?

I have the losi xxx-nt and have had issues with the spur periodically and each time it was one of these things above.

get a metal spur then do the check list olds gave you

This in itself isn't great advice.
olds97_lss hit it on the head. The truth is if you get a metal gear and your issues aren't taken care of you run the risk of damaging your transmission or engine.

I have knocked myself out trying to find a resolution to the same issue. After may hours I noticed a fine crack in my motor mount.

yeah...$40 for the new spur gear...then when it strips $40 for another and $20 for another cluth bell...atleast

40$ bucks for a new spur? you mean $4.00, i dont no maybe they expenisve for hpi or you talkin bout metal. but one thing why my spur stips(first off it is made of nylon...........nylon=cheap+brakes alot) it might srip if you giving the car gas and wheels are on ground and car isnt moving, that means alot of torgue is on the spur and cluth.......and in metal vs. nylon(plastic).......take a lucky guess who wins. so always let the car go or lift wheels maybe try that or else thay pretty much told you other symptons

There is absolutely nothing wrong with running a non metal spur. If everything is operating properly they will last a good long time, some as long or longer then the engines.

A properly operating RC will have no issues with stock spurs.
