My Slash is Here

[Racer 1966]

My Slash was delivered today. I bought it used but with a Rolex job and some help from Slowngreen,it's good to go. I did find a few minor problems while cleaning and checking it over. The wires on the ESC rx plug were damaged and needed some repair. The gear cover is missing(1 hole damaged) and it has 1 of the wrong bolts in the motor mount and the side velcro mounts were torn off.

It does not have the stock waterproof electronics(I knew that when I bought it) but overall I think it's going to be fine,I just need to get my batteries charged fully. Also this is actually for my son so when programming the ESC I set it to 50% so he can get used to driving it. We ran a couple of short runs in the dark tonight but tomorrow we'll give it a full go.

as far as the esc or whatever wires it is, that is my fault i will be honest i did know they were broke but i "honestly forgot" or i would have told you. i also knew about the 2 screws holding the motor in, they were diffrent but both worked fine. i never payed that much attention to know that there was anything broken off and when i showed you the pictures it had no cover on the slipper in the pictures. i ran this truck "once" the day i got it, it had a velenion setup i pulled it off after about 10 minutes of running it and put it on my stampede and vise versa. sorry that i didn't tell you about the scrws on the tranny i didn't pay enough attention to know they were broke. but i'm sure there were some up closepictures that showed that too. and as far as cleaning it, i have been busy doing other things and didn't have time, just wanted to get rid of a few things that were taking up space...

btw this sold for 55 dollars cash in my pocket, to run all it needed was crystals.

I said minor and I didn't say it was a bad deal, I'm happy. It's all good!

BTW, you could have saved a few $ on shipping. You sent as to a residence,I gave you a business address. Also size is important,if you had cut the box down to fit would have saved a little too.

Sorry to butt in but i just won 2 nitro rustlers 2.5 for 100.00 bucks each on ebay just wondering what cleaners do u use to clean the parts?

o i won 2 cause i did not think i would win either but they ended at 4 in the morning and no one else bid on them .

Soapy water,toothbrush and then for a good cover up of the ground in stuff that doesn't wash off I coat it with Armorall. Wipe the excess off with a towel and it's good to go.

Thanks Dom! I'm happy with it and oh yeah he's ecstatic about it but we still didn't get to put a good run on it today.

My son got out of bed this morning and immediately did his chores then came straight to me and says "can we plese run my truck now?"

So we did. We ran all 3 of my packs through it. He had a blast, got it dirty and is impatiently awaiting to run again when the packs are charged! The truck itself was a good deal,Thanks x_doug_x, but his excitement makes it a Bargain!

yw, i'm glad he enjoys it. it was just gonna sit in my garage for i dunno how long? lol now i gotta buy a bunch of parts to put my stampede together again. also, that slash can handle 7 and 8 cell packs. i had 2 tenergy 4200s that i was running in it. it gave it a little more power.

then again, if you really wanted to you could jump up to lipo and put a lipo low voltage cuttoff in there.
