A really beautiful job on the shocks...:whhooo: I'm wow'd out.

Only thing I would say is, "triangles". Maybe add some in the tubular chassis for strength. Other than that, looks like a sick build!

I just got my rims all set up too. The rock rings that Joe from East End Machining made me to go with the custom 5 hole aluminum beadlocks he made me look awesome. That with the disc brakes, and warn hubs, I am stoked how its all coming together. I'll have to get some pics of the finished rims and tires.

Dang, your shocks look better than RC4WD very nice.

Thanks man! I got the idea to use xxx-nt shocks one night while painting a lid for my xxx-nt. I wanted a shock with no top cap, and since the losi shocks are bottom loading I thought I would give a shot, see how they turned out. I was pretty happy with the results, now I just need to add the Rancho decals. I bet they will work 100 times better than the RC4WD scale shocks. I havent really heard of anyone that was happy with them.

joe how many shocks do you need?
just 1? i may have a couple spares from xxx-t. will those work? if so let me know and i'll send it your way. rcvr shoud be there soon. my wife mailed it for me via ups earlier in the week.

Thanks TJ, Joe from EEM did a kick ass job on these rims! Now if I could just get him to make me another set of rings in black I, I think they would look better yet.

The wheel/tire set up is bad ass, the disc brake are a very nice touch!

Joe,

found the spares...rear shocks are hardcoated threaded bodies. can u work with that?

oh man those rims are slick as hell!!! very very nice, prolly the nicest I've seen ever.

Thanks for the compliments Lloyd. I worked with Joe at East End Machining to design them after the rims I had on my 90 YJ. I hate the scooped out look of so many aluminum rims being made, so I wanted them to look more real, so the holes looked round rather than oval. The ring design was all his, I like how he designed the ring with the same screw hole spacing as stock axial rings, but only with 12 holes instead of 6. This will also allow me to use any of the axial 2.2 rings on these rims if I wanted to. I am so happy with the overall look of them

WOW, again!
The rims are just too beautiful! I'd recommend staying with the alloy ring instead of the black. Hey, it's a bling thing with me.
