Damn, talk about AWESOME. Simply amazing!! I brought my son in and showed him, he was amazed, even more so once he read through it and realized it was all custom. That's talent!!! And great job on those rims, too!!

I'm impressed with the whole lot of folks here, many fine artists all around!

Got some cool parts....

Ok, a small update. I picked up some new parts for the ol Jeep.

First of all I want to thank my buddy Joe at East End Machining, he came by the house last night with some sweet ass rims for me for the Jeep. These things look better than I had hoped they would, he does some killer work! Still gotta do the rings but he has some real cool ideas he is working on for them.

Then a guy at Scale 4x4 made one run of warn locking hubs and smooth hubs for the rear wheels. The detail on them is absolutely amazing! I plan on detailing the faces of them but I wanted to show then to you guys now.

And I picked up a RC4WD R2 tranny. Nice and compact, all steel gears, looks like its made real nice.

Guess it's time to get back to work on this sucker.

Those hubs are amazing Joe! That was the first thing I noticed out of the first pic before I even saw the close up shots. A+ !

lol, I've been working on my 68 chevy pickup since I was 14, and I just turned 23. For the last 4 years I haven't done a lot with it, but it was non stop until then and it's still not quite finished. However, that 68 takes up a hole garage, so I guess if you scaled the time down to 1/10, that's about how long Joe's taking it. I think its the most amazing custom RC that I've seen. I've seen some other scalers that were pretty incredible, but nothing that appealed to me like this one. The other had some details that were outstanding, and that was it. Every single detail on this thing is custom and it incredible, and to say that I'm impressed may be the understatement of the year. In fact, seeing these wheels and have Joe tell me about East End Machining is what caused me to first shop there, and now I buy 90% of my parts from him, and Joe from EEM has become quite a good friend to me.

Thanks guys! I am really pleased how this is all coming together. I still have a ton of work to do to before she'll be finished though.

Chris did an incredible job on the hubs, I only wish I had gotten another set, I doubt highly he will make another run of them. Especially since I have already started to slowly accumulate bits and pieces for my next scale truck, I would have loved to have a set for it. I got a clod body screaming to be either a flatbed and exocage, or have a dropped bed and exocage. =devil I already filled the hole in the hood where the blower was, next is the sunroof. I just gotta pick up some more styrene.

I tell you what, building these scale trucks is extremely addictive. :seeing_stars:

Actually Joe from east end machining made the rims, but someone else made the nuts. I had actually tried talking Joe in to doing these before Chris (Toyranasaur) made the ones on my truck. But I am extremely happy with both the rims and hubs! They look awesome together. I can't wait till I get the rings done!

Just Back From the Powdercoat Shop

So my good friend ImBroken stops by one night and tells me he has a friend that will powdercoat my cage for me. So off he goes with my cage and three days later I get this back. It looks awesome! it's a satin chrome finish, I am so happy with how it came out. Thanks for the hook up TJ!

that is really awesome, i wish i had the patience to (and time) to do something like that, I've been getting interested in a scale rig recently but will probably buy something already build and then customize it myself

Hopefully not much longer. But I still have a ton of work to do. I have just started on modifying some shocks for it, but I still need to get a few more xxx nt rear shocks. I am also still waiting on time to get together with Joe to work on the rings for the wheels, and I'm still trying to decide how I am going to power it, I was thinking maybe a goat set up, but I don't know how brushless will handle mud and water. Or I was thinking of going with a m-tronics truck waterproof esc, and a 35 or 45 turn motor. But I am still up in the air until I do some more research on the goat.

I also have a good bit more work I need to do to get the interior finished, I have started on the dash and guages but I am not happy with it so I need to change a few things.

The body still needs some attention too...
