Heres what my savage needed in order to run:

1 High torque servo
1 Standard servo
4-Spider mod
2 HD Dogbones
Clutchbell
And a new body

I also added my XTM 24.7 from my buggy to see if I could do some wheelies.

Before all of this the thing was hollow lol. The engine was out (clutchbell), the whole radio system was out, the gas tank was off...
She's all fixed up now and ready for some bashing.

Here is a few pics of it with the new body:

I'm thinking about dropping my Omega engine and trying an XTM in my savage instead. How do you like the 24.7? What gearing are you running? Does it pull a wheelie? Is it a stable engine (easy to tune, idle well, start well...)

Thanks.

The XTM engine is a great engine. Its the easiest engine I have ever tuned and it is the stablest engine I have run. Out of four different mills it is the easiest to start. I have had no problems with the pull start or anything, others have but I haven't. The XTM .18 is also very stable but the 24.7 will not stall at an idle for a long time. It's my favorite engine ever so far.

I'm running, 14/52 but before I could really test for wheelies it shredded my spur gear. I just orderd the RR Steel Spur/CB combo tonight (14/52). For those 5 seconds it really flew though :D

I'd definetely reccomend it to you.

My savage willo get its awakeing parts november 8th. It has been down since i joined the site. Enjoy your kinda new savage.

I gotta wait a few more days for the steel CB and spur but after that I shouldn't have to worry about those anymore.

And olds, I definetely think you should get the 24.7, its awsome and holds a tune very well.
