That thing looks BADASS bro... The light kit really sets it off nicely...

Nice paint by the way... Look at you with the wood panel bed... lol

Sweeeet...

I have to say though... not a fan of the ultra wide tires  At any rate it's still a pimp truck

Just the 'Shelf Tires', not the running shoes.

Nice paint by the way... Look at you with the wood panel bed... lol

Thanks man. It was worth every long painful hour.

I'm actually surprised you didn't go with a more traditional '50s lookin' wheel.

I ordered the Romulin wheels, and about the time I expected them to arrive, I got an Email that they were on back order. Bummed, I got the only ones my LHS had for the 44s.

That's the Dynamite aluminum air filter right? I'm wanting to put in on my car, but I'm not sure if it'll fit.

Lights

LET THERE BE LIGHT !!!!! Uh, LIGHTS !!!

Fender lights and upper tail lights come on with the headlights. The inner lights on the bottom are signal and 4 way flasher lights.

Head lights, high beams and fog lights, all on. The fog lights also serve as 4 ways and signal lights.

It also has a horn. The handle to the right of the winch reel is the on/off for the light circuit board. To the left of the winch is the infrared receiver, and I've programmed it to respond to buttons from a TV smart remote, so the various functions can be turned on or off from a distance, or while it's running.

The body is strictly the display lid. WAY too much time and money in it to bang it up. I have a couple of other lids for running.

Rolex, I'm not popping in to tell you how Crazy you really are, I'm not coming to tell you how much I want to see that thing fly.

I'm just coming to tell you WOW!!

I've seen some nice lighting jobs, but that thing is insane!
You really did a great job on that thing and setting it up to work on a tv remote? Awesome!

I would love to have a 1970 charger or challenger to display like that!

Would you mind sending the links to the lights, IR receiver and those things that are covering the lights If you don't mind?

I Need a charger lid like that! And maybe a touring car to sit it on?

If you don't have the info for the stuff its no big deal.
Thanks!

I tell ya what, if I make it back up to the mountians I will cross the border just to see that rig. Nice job.

I'll do a couple of shots of the light setups when they're off, so you can see what I've used. I'll also get back with a link for the main circuit.

Your such a liar! lol. That truck will never see anything more then dust lol. But It will shure look hella frigin good doing so. Now go push that sucker around your living room.

I've rubbed my knees raw on the carpet, and my lips are numb from making motor sounds. lol

These are some LEDs I got at Radio shack. Large ones in the fenders, chrome mounts below, and on top, the chrome trim ring is actually the washer that should be inside.

Switch looks like a handle to operate the winch. IR receiver plugged in on the left.

There's the circuit board and wiring for the front lights. The white rectangle on top is the buzzer I put in for the horn.
The circuit is 8 channels, and I still have 2 open.

It was tough to work with since it was all so small. Look at it compared to the 9V battery there, and that's sideways. Flat, it's almost the same size as the circuit board.

Is this going to be the shelf body or the actual running lid you bash with? Seems you have a lot of handy dandy gadgets!

This one is STRICTLY the shelf lid since they are not available anymore. Thanks again to ImBroken for hooking me up with this body. I have the Rubicon to play in the dirt, and I'm about to start on a Hummer H2 as a basher lid. I'll be doing lights in that one too, but a much simpler set up since it has to take some abuse.

As far as the links go, Scooby, the headlight reflectors and domed lenses were from a couple of clip on button battery lights I found in a dollar store. With the circuit boards, there's nothing at all on the guy's Ebay site right now, and I hope he's not leaving, because the day after I got this one, I wanted to order a few more. I'll keep checking, and if they are available again, I'll post the link.

Edit:
I forgot to post this one. This is inside the front fender. The chrome one is the Radio Shack mount, and the reflector is from the little flashlight.
