LOL
thats not even a savage, thats a t-maxx or one of the maxx's haha

Hey, gimme' a break. I fessed up BEFORE you busted me!
That thing looks like it crawled out of a swamp. It might not even be a Jeep lid. Bronco maybe?

Excuse me but I have to go give mine another coat of wax.

Dude... really. I'm sure there are other forums for that type of discussion. :nono:

ROFLM...uh...Head off. I'm now afraid to mention my A. lol

Many hours later, but I'm done. Way to tired to even take pics. That will be for tomorrow.

Nice build Rolex.
Makes me want to get mine out and work on it.
Probably take an hour or so to clean one of my workbenches up though. :)

Rolex, thats a Maxx with a Pro-Line Jeep CJ8 lid, that lids been discontinued unfortunately.

So lets see some more pics of the Easter Parade Savage with the new bling...

Stock wheels on for easier alignment. It sure seems small without the big Imex crawlers.

Dashboard! Sweeet... :) Those are some massive suspension arms. BEEFY! I see they have plastic bushings as well.. that's a nice touch

I got the shocks and wheelie bar from the same guy. First rate stuff. He sent the wrong color turnbuckle ends, and is sending me a set in yellow free.

Rolex, what did you use for the guages? I am in the process of building the dash for my tuber and I need to do guages for it.

How come you have not done the flares with the plast-dip yet? You know they make it in yellow too

Rolex, its getting to the point that I would rather just look at yours than drive it, make that drool on it! Extreamly sweet rig man.......

I'll be at Lowe's or Home Depot today looking at tube benders for the boat build. I'll get it then. Hmmm, yellow, eh? Maybe purple. Nah, I'll have them machined out of nickel stainless, then anodized in day glow green.

I did a search on gauges, then saved all the ones that would open up to a larger pic, took it all to Photoshop, created a black strip across the page, one inch high and measured the actual width of the Rubicon interior. The rest was cut and paste and resizing. The speedometer was part of the stainless dash you see, but I pasted an analog speedo over the digital. Another set of matching gauges on the right. All with something blue to match the car.
When printed on Glossy photostock, I cut it to size, glued it to a strip of Lexan, sprayed it with lacquer and glued it in the car. It sure added a nice touch.

He he. I know that feeling. Any bets on when it will start up for the first time?
Excuse me, but I have to wipe the drool off it and wax it again.:celebrate:

Cool, I found a website you can design your own guage faces and save them or print them. I have designed a few already now I just have to get to resizing them in ps. Wish I had a lazer printer though to print them out.
