I'll say it now before I forget.. Sorry for the long load times!

The Broken parts you will see were the result of my running into a tree stump.
It's really not a reason to say that that part was weak(You should have heard that THUMP!)
I was going at least mid high 30 when I hit the thing, and thats all it broke?

Any ways it seen its first flight the same day I broke it,
I didn't jump it much, but I can tell this is going to be a keeper!

You know,
I found this unknown guy wondering around this forum the other day(I think he was lost ,poor thing)
and well, even though he is one of the biggest pains I've ever met:), I think we really should make sure he stays awhile.
After all He does have a awfully nice looking truck!
Full_Bling.jpg

Good job on your truck!
Keep us updated on how its coming along!

Thanks again Ofna1 and Smaxxin for selling the great trucks!

Looks like you had fun at least. Lots of pics...

On the purple pipe savage, I'd get an exhaust deflector and flip the exhaust hanger spring, it's on backwards.

Wow, that last pic you posted sure is nice! That thing looks like it's never even been started.

At least all 4 sets of A-arms match. lol
What happened here?

Apparently the RPM purple uppers are preferred... it has 3 of them!

I guess the X arms are weaker? I ran a 21 savage I bought off SkyMaxx years ago for about 2 years before replacing the arms due to wear in the hinge pin holes... never broke a single arm.

Looking at that X though sure makes me want to get another savage... I miss that old horse.

Hmm, yeah an exhaust deflector would probably would be a good idea.
Its on upside down? thanks good catch!

I'm getting there;)
That tree stump really made a heck of a sound!

I hate even numbers of the same part, don't you?
All the A-Arms are what were on there when I got It, havn't broke them yet so I have no need to replace;)
I really love the savage so far, I can't wait to find something to jump it over!

The savage is a great rig for jumping. Mate it with a 3 speed and a decent mill, it's wicked fast and flies oh so nice. This thread and Rolex are making me want to get a savvy X again.

Did you do the steering upgrades that Sweetdiesel made a couple years back?

I agree this thing is Fast, ad it sounds awesome when it shifts!

steering upgrades..?
I have bearings in the steering if thats what you mean.
As far as turning radius I have about all I can get.
I can turn so sharp my tires touch the shocks, but I backed the EPA off a little

I'll try to find what steering upgrades your referring to.
Thanks!

Yep, if you flip it, the pipe will line up more parallel with the chassis. The way you have it, it's almost forcing the pipe to rub against the chassis.

Don't feel too bad... I was the proud idiot with a maxx that had 3 different colored arms, RPM blue, RPM purple, black stock, RPM black... My LHS never had more than one of the same color in.

Just let them believe we did it on purpose to make it "Unique"

I like any picture of a RC, but I really enjoy looking at your trucks with your mods to protect or to get something to preform better.
I don't think I've seen any pics of your truck sense your Revo, be sure to post some sometime!

Yeah... don't have the revo anymore. Sold it. Then got a jato... or was it bought a jato, then sold the revo? Huh... I think I was trying to sell the revo to get a jato, but a deal came up and I jumped on it.

Anyway, yeah, I've posted a few of my aftershock. It has a few of my personal touches... (i.e. 5/16" steel roll bar, maxx 2.5 wheels...)

I found the link SD made to Savage central. could have swore he wrote something like it but here you go

SAVAGE CENTRAL LINK TO STEERING MOD

I still have my revo as well, but I don't use it much because the engine mount is still broken.
I'm just to much of a pack rat to sell any of my stuff!

Well I'm off to look at those pics!

Thanks Jon!
Maybe you were confusing that with the linkage mod that SD made a guide for.

Either way Thanks a lot for the guide, I'll have to check and see if smaxxin did that or not!

oh my god, dude that savage is sweet, i mean there is sweeter but damn that is sick, also one question, all the first pics those are from before

and all the pics of the aluminum and carbon fiber is after the fix???

Thank you very much and nope, they are all mixed up and are of 2 different trucks (Savage x and Savage 25).
The Savage 25 has the CF and aluminum A-Arms
The Savage x has aluminum bulks off of the savage 25.
(Exact, I need some more get busy!;))
Any ways, I had to trim a piece or 2 to get the aluminum bulks from the 25 to fit the X, but it works perfect!
Thanks again for the compliment!

I could NEVER take mine out in public looking like that. LMAO

Jon, thanks for the link on the steering mod. Something else I can do while it's still cold out.
