My Revo go BOOM in less then 10 tanks

Took my revo out for the 3rd day today and it went BOOM!! 1st day was brake in, next time (a week later) toned her up sweet, today (another week) it started rite up, i ran it slow for 1/4 tank. Let it go up my driveway(on the gas) Turned around and hit it to come back and 1/2 way she locked up. Worked my way checking things to see what happened. When I got to motor the rod was split in half long ways.

Contact Traxxas customer service. They should replace the motor assuming you just bought it.

Wow! It really did just break right in half! I've never seen one do that before.

I have never seen one split in half like that! I would definately contact traxxas, they should definately replace it for you.

Thats what I'm hoping. Less then a month old( Got it mid Feb. and yesterday was the 3rd time it was out, live in NY so its been cold to play) and less then 1/2 a gal. threw it I don't really want to here FIX. It makes me not want to order my TMaxx 3.3. We will see on Monday what they say. I'll let you know after I call them. The piston looks good to me, not black or any sand marks. I'm hopping just a bad rod. If they send me a new 1 should I find a stronger rod or I just got a freek one? I have no luck with 2 strokes!! Got a Seadoo jetski 1 year , went 200 feet out from dock and it blew up!!They gave me a hole new motor though ( thats what you'll get when you go into a packed dealer and start screeming how there trying to screw you!!)

Tell them you want a replacement motor not just the rod. Since that came apart in there like that, theres no doubt it scratched the piston and sleeve. They may want you to send it back so they can see it before they send you a new one.

CONTACT TRAXXAS!!! Maybe the metal was defective.

I have never seen a rod break at the wrist pin, in RC or 1:1. I would call traxxas then frame it.

Just called Traxxas, and it sounded to me they MITE just put a new rod if they feel its there defect if not I'll have to pay to fix it. If thats where it goes this will be my last Traxxas in my toy box. No need to talk wife into T Maxx now. And e-bay here comes a REVO.

After my T-Maxx money pit, I swore I would NEVER buy another Traxxas product! And I haven't. Buy A Savage, you will be much happier with that than with a T-Maxx, trust me, I still have both, I can't even remember the last time the Maxx got run. I love my Savage SS though! Send the mill in to them anyway and see what they say, at this point you really have nothing to lose.
