Hi all, well after some convincing HPI finally agreed to send me a 4.6 pull-start in place of the 5.9 i sent in. just kinda wonderin what you guys think, should i leave in the Dynamite .21, runs good, not a powerhouse though, or go ahead and drop in the 4.6, i do miss the wheelies !! What to do??

Did you have an xl and took out the 5.9 for a 4.6? Why would you want to sacrifice all that power?

Is it due to the tuning complications of the 5.9?

Hello, yes my 5.9 did have great power for the short time it ran, then it started giving me problems so i sent it back to HPI, they were gonna send me a new 5.9 but to be honest between what other owners on here and other sites have said and my experience with that engine, I would rather have a 4.6, tried and true, had a bunch of them, so for me i prefer the 4.6 but that's just my experience. I hear some of them do ok. the one i had ran hot, quit due to leaks, and got stuck every now and then.

I love my 4.6 but even with my xl tvp's and big Joes on Axials, I notice the power loss.

I miss the power mine had, but even with the Dynamite .21 it's still lots of fun, I will probably upgrade my engine this winter. Love the LRP engines, maybe i'll ask santa for a LRP .32, that outta make the xl sing. anyway i am running stock wheels and tires and stock gearing for now but I am definately looking for a bigger set of tires.

Good evening all, today i recieved my replacement engine from HPI RACING, They were kind enough to send me a f4.6 pull-start. just what i wanted, so THANK YOU HPI RACING I really am highly impressed with their customer support. now i gotta decide whether to put in the 4.6 or leave in the dynamite .21, i think i'll just play around with the gearing on the .21, i gotta say it's easy to tune, starts quick too n runs quite a while on a tank of fuel. peace out!

Well, i've enjoyed the Dynamite .21 but i have decided to put in my new f4.6, it's a pull-start, 2 needle, PURPLE HEAD engine, I also have a new set of "BIG BORES" gonna change out to those too. I really do like the lil dynamite .21, but i just want more power.
