At work I sit in an area where there is a lot of noise from different people and worst of all the god damned radio. It's always the same soft rock station and they play the same 10 songs in a loop all day. Durring this time of year it sucks even worse. They play the same ten CHRISTMAS songs in a loop. You can only take so much "Frosty the Snowman" and "It's Looking a Lot like Christmas" before you go insane.

That being said, I love to listen to mp3's at work. There are, however, some problems. The first being that speakers are out of the question as it would spill over into other folks listening range. I need headphoned (have some). The next problem is that I NEED wireless headphones. The corded set I have right now litterally ties me to my PC. The final problem is the phone. I often find that I can't hear the phone at my desk ring when I have my headphones on. Furthermore, I have to take the headphones off and put them back on for phone calls.

My ideal audio situation would be a headset with mic, speakers with good sound quality. Furthermore, it would need to take audio input from multiple sources. First from my PC and second from my phone. It would have to be smart enough to turn off the noise from my PC when the phone breaks through. Also, the mic would have to tie into my phone somehow. It would have to be a wireless system. It would also have to work seemlessly with our out-of-date analog phone system here at work - or somehow attach to the handset plug.

Anyway, why tell you all this? (other than to prove that I am a big freak) Well, does such a system already exist? I've searched the world over via google and come up with many many telephone headsets and many many computer headphones, but never anything that can do both.

Thanks.

EDIT: They just queued up White Christmas for the 6th time today!!! :censored: :censored:

yeah the whole phone thing is over board... i would just turn down the music volume.

get "open cup" headphones (called something like that(they let more outside noise in))

I think Radio Shack sells a small blinking light that gets hooked up to your phone line, alerting you to incoming calls.. Other than that, I would suggest throwing the radio across the room....
