Working part time at the LHS for store credit and decided to race w/ the shop guys and learn how to have my ass welded shut by some local pro stock racers LOL......my TC3 was just not cutting it so I got a TC4.....this is what happens when I practice painting...the build was awsome....I went start to finish (minus body mounting & alignment stuff) in about 4.5 hours on friday night from 2:36 am to 7:12 am, then went out on the boat and got sun burnt.....XS Power "stock" motor that turns faster than alot of modified motors do....yeah jerry I'm pluggin ya so lay off me bitch......

trying to remember all the steps you want to lay colors in while painting is a real bitch.....I forgot to seal the yellow before painting the stripes black.....I did that exact same color mix (Flour. yellow & Black = Green) on my first body I painted.....so I added the red trim and went Rasta Pimp style...LOL.....

i think its a pretty sweet paintjob. and i love those cts-v bodies. thats the next body I'm gonna get for my rs4 evo. I'm not really into electric but that looks like a fun car to drive. do you race on carpet?

I'd love to but there's no indoor tracks here anymore.....there's an outdoor track in West Palm Beach built on an old hockey rink that's supposed to be the next best thing though.....it just looked like fun, and alot easier to bring your pit to the track than 1/8 scale.....so hopefully this will give me my fix til I can go offroad again.....my current schedule seems to not want me to go play in the dirt..LOL

I'm running a FT TC4 this year and love it. Its an entire different beast then the 3 I have been running for the last few years. IMO Worth the upgrade.

Nice body.

IF I get into this class I plan on getting another FT kit......I just wanted to set one up w/ all the good stuff first...then If I get a FT kit I'll have a decent basher setup.......I'm trying my best to keep this fresh til I can go to MDI track, but it's a nice day out and I'm getting itchy......

thanks..I don't know how well it handles yet...I'm waiting til next monday to bring it to a track (or a smooth paved area) to run it......no time this week......

as for the price, it's a kit so everything is separate.....
car kit = 170
motor = 30
ESC = 50 (already had this)
Servo = 35 (already had this)
batt pack = 60 (including the deans bars/connectors) (already had this)
body = 20
color change paint = 8 (already had this)
Black paint = 3 (already had this)
Yellow paint = 3 (already had this)
RX = 45 (already had this)

so alltogether w/o radio it's about 424.....those prices are just off the top of my head so they might actually be alil higher in some cases......and I still need some take-offs (tires) for the track.....so that will be another 50-60 bucks....and another 3 battery packs at least before I can race it.......

Pretty pimp looking lid. Love the Team you run for. LOL.

What are the big changes to it from the TC3?

from what I can see it's the redisigned narrower chassis....the front toe link is now part of the front chassis stiffener.....the motor mount has a different lower unit w/ a longer heat sink that works better...there's mounting for som fan induction unit (probably more for brushless setups).....the carriers have more mounting holes.....the CVDs fit better......the front bumper mount is alot beefier.....I used a front solid axle I had for the TC3 and a set of steel outdrives from the 3 as well.....both fit perfectly...Looks like alot of the parts are interchangeable.......and the manufacturing on the 4 is much better...I actually used a mic to do the turnbuckles and they all matched perfect...on my 3 I some of them were not centered perfectly (yeah I know real anal).......I set the droop set screws to be level w/ the tops of the A-arms and it was set perfectly.....the 3 some droop screws rode lower in the a-arms than others........it was super easy to build and I was torn between doing a time trial and taking pics....the late night start and lack of caffeine made me go for speed (no pun intended)........

this was the first BRANDY NEW kit I have built for myself in over 20 years...LOL....I always got second hand stuff and fixed it.......

You forgot to mention the steering assembly has been changed. No more stuck steering due to little rocks and pebbles.

DOOOH!...oh yeah that was the first thing I noticed when they came out and all the drift guys near me went gaga for it......

RC I'm going to rebuild it and try and get my dad into something he can enjoy...he's having some very unusual health problems lately and can't ride his harley or go fishing on the boat much so I think this might be something he can enjoy......besides I already backed out of a trade w/ AC for it at the last min so he'll have first dibs on it anyway.....sorry AC....

Finally played w/ it today...all I can say is.....DAMN!!!....lightyears above TC3......

Haha TEAM ASS. Niiicceee. So clean! I actually like the paintjob, looks pretty "different" lol. Cool anntenae holder. I never got my TC3 above like 15 mph, tooooo slooowww for me. Glad to see yours is awesome!
