Well ever since Apple introduced the iPod I have wanted one. Recently a deal came up on AnandTech that I just couldn't pass up. This is a 15Gb 3Gen Apple iPod with all orginial gear. She just showed up today as I was on my way out the door for work. I am already in love.....

This will be a great addition to my desk at work and at home to pass the time. Now I wil be able to listen to all of my music any where at any time. I have already visited Apple's site today to see what accessories are available.

ImBroken and I used to spend a lot of time (and money) on that board. I still pop in every now and then when I am in the market for some new tech.

wilsoncat - I lurk around on the FS/FT board all the time at AnandTech. You can always find great deals. Amazon deal? Not sure what you mean. I purchased the iPod from its previous owner. Luckly they decided not to have their name enscribed on the back.

When I was on the plane to cali a guy had one. Definitely looks cool. How do you think it compares to the dell mp3 player or the zen from nomad?

Hopefully you have one that won't have a premature battery failure. There is a class-action lawsuit in CA over it.

My MP3 player is CD based.

Well I just started surfing over at ipodlounge.com. There was a pretty good post about the two you are asking about. I will see if I can find it. I do remember someone saying they had the Dell and they were complaing about how slow it was to upload and to navigate. Something to do with the type of processor it uses.

I used to have a Creative Zen 20Gb. I had no problems with mine. The only reason I ever sold mine was because a friend offered me the right price.

Ya I got me oen of them new fangled gizmos but its the 20GB I have no troubles untill I tried to upload the software for it on my comp and I lost every file 134 songs gone.

I've got almost enough saved up for one. I'm buying either the 40gig or the Mini. I'm closer to the mini in what I have saved.

The one thing I wish it had or actually my Truck stereo had is an input jack so I can run it through my truck stereo....
