My New Ride

This is my new mare, Doll. She is 16 hands (very tall for a horse, I just make her look small being that I am 6' 5" and 300 lbs) and 10 years old. I fell in love with her six years ago and was able to buy her two months ago.

As we get her worked she will get a lot broader and very muscular. She spent the last four years in a field and didn't get worked at all.

Curtis: I actually got a really good deal on her. We rescued a starving Halflinger awhile back. He's a miniature draft horse. Anyway, we got him healthy and broke and traded him for Doll. Basically we traded a $1500 horse for a $5,000 horse. I have the advantage of having a mom whom is a well known breeder and trainer in my area so that helps!

That's amazing. You'll be HUGE by the time you're 18! :whhooo:
By then, you'll be looking for a Clydesdale or a Belgian Work Horse.
