I ran 1 full tank through the other day. Had a lot of problems with it maxing out idle.. now i cannot get er started again for the life of me..glow plug lights up red so i know its good.. i set the carb open with the screw about 1 mm.. i mess with throttle on remote and mess with highspeed needle.. and jus wont start.. help... tried to upload video. Not working. Bad service out in the stix.. ill.try tomorrow.

Put it back to the center. Put the car up on a block/bocx or whatever you can do to make the car stay up off ground. If it is cold out side, it's recommended you try to get it hot! So use a blow dryer or a heat gun on the engine for a minute or less. Try that first;)

You might try another glow plug. I had the same problem with one of my Nitro's a while back. After the first tank idled through it wouldn't start again. Glow plug was heating up but wouldn't bang. I replaced it with a Traxxas 3232X plug and it fired right up! So now I use that plug in all my Nitro's

Are there diff size plugs? Or do most of them work for any model?

The 3232X is just a hair longer than a standard plug like an OS8 for example. I have one in my Exceed Mad Beast, and used it in the Redcats I used to have. My buddy uses that plug in his SH.07 engines as well.

Watch out an don't buy a turbo plug ,so the answer is yes ,there is a different size plug.

You want a standard size plug!
Standard it is! Better if its medium or hot glow plug?

Well I'm just going to try and look up what all fits my infinitive exceed. Maybe i should measure.

Oh man am i happy, i got er started! Come to find out it was the damn glow plug starter not charged. I charged it for like a hour just to check, bam it lights up the glow plug. I had charged it for 3 hours when i first got it, i figured id last longer than it did. So just ran another tank through. I finally got it idling decent with the high speed. I'm not sure if you need a higher rev or lower rev idle? I jus turned it to where when i pick it up the wheels dont try and move forward. Seemed to run pretty good so I'm happy. I feel like maybe I'm not completely illiterate towards this after all. Lol

If the glo-igniter charger is a simple wall charger ,then its safe just to leave it on overnight ,they are slow
chargers ,so a good 12 hrs. is good!...

Yeah it is. just a plug from the wall straight to it. Well i wondered if i could leave it, but the instructions said dont leave unnattended or somewhere on the lines of that. can't believe thats what was wrong with it. Hahah

Mine are 12 to 15 years old ,left mine on for 2 days straight the other day ,should be hotter than a fire cracker
when I get a round of using it ,they usually stay good for months!....:D
I have 2 in case one fizzles out in the field!

Lmao! So it's safe to say you have a solid charge on it. Lol

Glad you got it fired up! Nitro can be challenging sometimes but I love it. Had a couple electrics but gave them to my grandkids. Just wasn't the same.

Thanks! Yeah i was kinda down, couldnt figure out why it wouldnt start. I think I'm gonna buy some glow plugs just in case though.

Anyone know if this will fit my infinitive exceed? I know my plug is a no.3 so i would assume it would fit? http://m.ebay.com/itm/5x-HSP-Spark-...es-Car-Truck-Traxxas-/251900218990?nav=SEARCH
