Now I just have to remember how it goes together after a year...

Missing parts still... about to strangle the machinist...

Anyway, got a little bit done including cleanned up the car.

Looks good Brandon , should haul A$$ when you get it all buttoned back up!!!! then you can take for a ride, LOL!!!!

to bad its not the turbo. congrats!

So what's the story with it?

Typical MK3 Supra blows head gasket. Was like that when I bought it. Replaced it with oem one.. Week later blows again. So I buy a HKS Metal one with ARP bolts. Holds great then the lower end starts knocking. Take it apart and one of the main bearings is SHOT. So I decided it was time for a full rebuild. Had "my buddies" at the machine shop start work on it and they took payments. Well Its kinda my fault for stretching the payments out so much but they still had it for a year or more. It got all new internals except rods and crank, they got reconditioned. Full balance on the motor, bored .020 over etc. SO I get it back the other day to find out the clutch pilot bearing is junk, and he still has the flywheel, harmonic balancer bolt (I hope) and a few other nic naks. Going in on monday to see if its there. BUT all in all I'm just glad the motor is home where I can work on it. I'm just hoping all the parts are there and I can remember somewhat where things go. I do have the book and have had this motor apart 3 times so I think I will be ok. It should be fairly quick it has a decent intake and a 3" catback blitz nur spec system on it. Its a 5 speed with Limited slip. Stock these things have just under 200HP so we will see.

That seems like a lot of work for a 200HP engine (ENGINE! :) ) Anyways, I'm sure the 20 over will add a good chunk of power, that's pretty cool. Hope it all comes together for ya. This brings me back to my old thoughts on picking up an old gen I RX-7.

Honestly the bore is so minute it wont make much difference. From what I hear its standard to do when fitting new pistons.

Too bad you are so far away I can get the Toyota 1J and 2J sequential twin turbo engines here for really cheap. The I think 1J bone stock is a little over 250 hp. A few people here take the 2J and 1J and swap parts between the 2 of them and make what is called a 1.5J and that sucker is a beast. Over 325hp easy and still tons of RPM.

Ya I have looked into it. Its like 3 grand to do the swap.

Little update... IT RUNS! After what seems like forever of trying to find parts and where stuff goes she runs BUT i may have the wrong flywheel the guy was like I think this one fits your motor but the starter wont kick back out... My dad is going to try to shim it up hope that works. BUT it does run now that makes me so damn happy.

about damn time! lol jk. hope shimming it will work for ya so you can have a rig!
