Hello guys!

I've been trolling the forums for a few weeks now and I've modded my Inferno quite a bit and to list most of them:

  • Carbon fiber shock towers, servo tray, throttle plate and steering plate
  • Lunsford Racing - Titanium turnbuckle and hingepin kit
  • Advantage Racing Products - Anti-Lock cradock brakes
  • Front, center and rear CVDs (a.k.a Universals)
  • CNCed from 7005-T6 aluminium billet, center differential mounts
  • CNCed from 7005-T6 aluminium billet, chassis braces
  • MP777 SP1 engine mounts
  • MP777 SP1 chassis
  • MP777 SP1 blue shock springs
  • MP777 SP1 wheels and stabilizer
  • MP777 SP1 wheel nuts (purely for looks)
  • Vantage Racing - Tuned carbon fiber pipe (BU120L)
  • XRC Aluminium servo horns for Futaba servos compatible with the MP777
  • 4x Pro-line Badlands

And here are some pics I took today with a friends camera - yes the images are terrible but I promise some super clear shots at the end of the month!

Ohh, that wing has CF vinyl applied to it...all that needs to be done is to install the tubing, throttle linkages the little metal wire that holds the pipe in place and plonk on the lid (small suprise here!).

Let me know what you think :D

looks good.. let us know how that pipe works out for ya

I got that pipe too, I'll be trying it out just as soon as my starterbox comes. Nice buggy Mike!

Heh...

Just to let you guys know I've been able to find a source for O'donnell 20% (RTR) here in the UK - http://www.microtechracing.com/

Chances are that it won't be broken in till the end of the month...ahhh patience :p

That V-spec deserves something a little more pokey than 20%!

A lot of racers in the UK use Elite Power 25%. It's a race blend (<12% oil content) so you need to keep an eye on the head temperatures. Stockists in our region that I know of are Nitro Models at Earby and Elite RC at Halifax.

Take your time with the break-in. I bought my Hyper 8-port at the end of last summer and only got round to breaking it in last Sunday.

I thought I'd go with 20% for the initial break in and then move onto 25% right after. Also this RTR stuff has about 18% oil and should be good for the break in process. Yea I plan to do something similar to this:

I've changed it a bit, going to heat the head to ~160-200degF, pour a tiny amount of nitro down the glow hole, and fit the glow plug 1/4 loose and then start it to follow that break-in...

I noticed they actually stock the 25% stuff as well, so I sent 'em an email asking for them to ship the 25% instead :)

Thanks niggs.

Dude really nice buggy but I think it needs to get a little dirty. I can't stand how everyone never drives hard. And has fun. People can't just hop up a car full and drive it under 10 miles per hour. I mean come on get that sucker in the air. And hawling ass on the ground. Other than that that is so sweet. I like what You did to it. JUST GET IT DIRTY AND RUN IT HARD.

Ohh it is here. Just saw the P5 for such good value I couldn't resist. Chances are I'll be going with the P5 at the start and move over to the V-spec :)

Those aluminum center diff mounts are real heavy. My lhs has a set from Kyosho hanging on the wall. They've been there forever don't need them. The stock composite ones are fine and don't break or flex much. I'd try to save as much weight as possible it'll save slowing you down, breakage on crashes, and diminished handling.

These center mounts are not by Kyosho, and don't feel all that heavy. They are off ebay, custom CNC jobbie..and they have drilled out a few sections to reduce weight :)

He wanted it as well? heh... aaron, your sig needs updating :p

It's not complete just yet... Gotta do some trimming, then pull that outer coating off...
God... I love that part... I'll have better pics when it's "complete"...

Damn TJ that lid is SAAAWEEEET!! NIce job!
