I thought the rear shocks were supposed to go on the outside of the shock tower?

I had to mount them on the inside to avoid issues with them rubbing on the rear turnbuckles... They seem to work perfectly on the front of the towers..

Nice Tires, great motor. Put a drop of CA inside the fuel tube that is protecting the header. This will help to keep the fuel tube on the TVP. Without some sort of glue that tubing will come flying off. The brake spring was a great idea. The brake pads will not catch on the fully threaded screws that come with the Dual Brake kit because the pads mount on a smooth tube. The tube is part # 86145 and it can be seen here:

Try running the Picco 26 with 17/47 gears. You will get great low-end wheelie grunt along with decent top speed. In order to get max performance with this motor & gearing you will need to tweak the shift point.

Thanks for the tips Ross... I'll have to check, but I dont remember seeing those little tube sleeves in my kit... hmm
I'll definately try out the different gearing...
Thanks..

The Dual Disk Kit definitely came with those tube sleeves for the mounting screws.

17/47 gearing (2.7647 ratio) is a much better match for the Picco than the stock S-25 15/49 gearing (3.26667 ratio). You will get about 20% more top speed and you will still have enough power to easily rip nasty wheelies on command from a roll. You will need to adjust your shift point up. The stock shift point will be too early.

The new K4.6 Savage .28 uses 17/47 gearing. If you want to go offroad in slow dirt or grass you should probably run 16/49 gears (3.0625 ratio).

Buncrana, since HPI tires are required by HPI for the challenge, in your opinion which tires handled better at the challenge you went to, the Dirt Bonz, or the Stock tires? I need to buy a set of tires since one of the first things I did when I got my SS was get rid of the stock rims, and mounted my tires to some pro-line super singles. Now I had to buy more HPI rims and I am getting ready to buy more tires and I am undecided which way to go. I think if it is an on road situation the bonz will get chewed up real fast.

The guy who won used the Dirt Bonz but had the ultra firm foams from Trinity inside them and he had no rolling issues that anyone saw.

Damn ImBroken that's a VERY hot car you got there! Awesome detail work and very clean!
How did you paint the white letters on the tyres?
And forgive my uttermostly stupid question, but what is the little thing on the 4th pic? Is That a fuel filter?

Feck I want ym MT2 SS... still in the post somewhere :(

Thanks man... The letters on the tires were done with a Testers Paint pen. I found a set of them at the LHS for doing touchups..
Yep, the 4th pic is my Kyosho high capacity fuel filter, mounted to the inside of the rollbar.

Truthfully, I didn't keep track... After the HPI Challenge, I will sit down one night, & list all the hopups for ya.

It might be my computer, but I can't see the pic's of the painted body.
