Now that was pretty sick, almost makes me want dust off the old golf clubs and go play a round or two..

I had a raptor that we put a 990 CC crotch rocket motor in and I thought I was bad!

Do elaborate. I'm a crotch rocket geek. :) If you don't believe me, I have a picture of Nicky Hayden on the slow-down lap at Valencia when he won the world championship on one of my walls in my room :D

I had nothing on these guys putting an R1 motor (1000CC) in a gof cart. My next big project was going to be a full size crawler, but this sure is tempting lol.

That was worth it just for the engine noise. My boss had an R1 for a year or so but it scared him stupid after it spat him off at our local track. He rebuilt it after the crash and sold it.

Brit crawler, it was a Yamaha Raptor 660 4 wheeler that a shop here in town put a 990 CC motor that came out of an R1 that was totaled. A friend of mine owned the shop. It was an impulse buy, back when I was in high school and was drawing large social security checks and blowing them on fast cars and faster women. It was really cool to ride around town with it in the back of my truck. My roommate had a banshee with a twin turbo and I wanted something better lol. Anyway, it was way too much power to ride. I had the swing arm stretched from here to Australia, and even with a 20 mph rolling start, I couldn't keep the front end down to make a decent quarter mile pass. I kept it about 2 months, rode it maybe 6 times, and sold it to a guy in town. Kinda like the golf cart, not much you can do with it, but cool as hell to have. Another problem is I'm a race car guy, not a bike guy, and I didn't like having something that I couldn't work on myself. First motor I ever had that if you asked me to change the crankshaft, I wouldn't know where to start.

The only problem with that golf cart is that dam lift kit. The need to lower it on some bigger wheels and low profile tires so that it will handle better, it's way to top heavy for that power. Maybe do an adjustable suspension on airbags, and stretch the chassis out a little bit. At least you could make some high speed runs down the track with it, with proper safety harnesses of course (and probably a roll cage to pass tech inspection.

all I got to say is... how fast do you want to get to the 18th hole? Dang man, I'd like to put a roll cage on that thang and take it to the dunes or something.

makes me wonder if ya'll seen these? sorry for slight change in topic.

oh yeah rhino racing is big business. Some of the sponsors on the site have stopped making RC parts to specialize in side by side racing parts.

Yeah, wished I had the money to get one, but then agian, I have no place to ride it like those guys.

LOL! Jebus. 660cc would have been more than enough for me as it was, especially as the old R1s with the 5-valve heads had insane torque for a 4-pot (actually too much torque).

I keep swearing to everyone I'm gonna get a bike, probably start on a 250cc or something and work up to a 600cc, one day. I'd never ride anything big on the road, it'd be for the track, I just happen to have one of the worlds finest motorcycle tracks on my doorstep. It's not too bad for cars either, but if you have 4-wheels it's gotta be nippy and small.
