think it will work? i will use this to bash and also race at a couple of the local tracks and maybe build my own little track out on our land

waterproof servos are a good investment aswell... sealent for the engine.... extra set of tires cause they probly wont last long!!! upgrade to the 2.4ghz because the receiver has a failsafe in it cause yo never know!!! sway bars are good too... If I think of anything else I will post... oh yeah if you get the 3.3 engine the davis diesel conrod because the stock conrod is the same one in the 2.5 so it wouldnt hurt to make that peice stonger cause in most casses that is the first piece in the engine to go...

yea i was thinkin about the waterproof servos just forgot to add them the kit I'm lookin at comes with a JR radio. the kit has rpm arms so I'm not sure if the guy kept the sway bars are not

If you plan on entering real races the jato has a few illegal things on it...

2 speed
engine is to big it can't be larger than i think .15 ? or .12 i forgot.
and the carb needs to be certain size aswell

I put the single speed on my jato as well as some aluminum shocks and yellow springs witch are alittle softer than i needed but they work for now. but yeah the 1 speed in my opinion is more fun because in dirt i never could reach second gear at all no matter how short i had the tranny shift. So now the 1 speed is just perfect for dirt i love it and it was cheap. got it in ebay for 6 bucks and its from traxxas so its not like some knock off.

But i mean if you still like that insane top speed its up to you but just saying if you want to enter real races then your gonna have to down grade your car in some aspects. The one speed conversion though to me is an upgrade but the engines that have to be downgraded that kinda sucks but they need to be even some how right ?

If your OWB is shot, then more than likely, the shaft it spins on needs replaced as well:

Personally, I'd stay clear of the aluminum turnbuckles. I've snapped 2 out of the 4 on my jato when running in rough stuff. If you want strength and weight savings, look for lunsford titanium turnbuckles. Tough as nails!

thanks olds! ill look into it. my brother had a OWB go bad on his revo and we just replaced the bearing and it worked great. but thanks anyway ill look into it!

and trx our track here aint big enough to even hit 2nd. i may purchase another tanny and hoave one 2 speed and one 1 speed
