Hey Guys,

I know I have not been on as much lately. Life gets in the way and sometimes, as hard as it is to admit, RC just has to take a back burner. I know that some of you new guys may not know me but there are a few here that know me from back before I was married and first joined this site back in January of '05 when I first got my TMaxx. Life comes at your fast, and some of these guys have seen me through alot here at RCNT. They have seen me spend three months at home with a broken leg, selling a home, getting married, and having a baby. Hell they have seen me through all the speed bumps associated with being married! I can't believe my baby girl just turned 3! It seems just yesterday we were bringing her home. That is the single most important thing in my life and the primary reason RC has taken a back burner.. and it has been worth every second I have been away too. Anyway I just got thinking this morning and decided to post about it. See ya!

Tom

Tom yes it does buddy. Lets see joined in 07, since then have had another kid, had 4 different jobs (still all AF) and most of them working 12 hour days which makes RC kinda hard to do. So far the only damage that has happened to me so far other than a few stitches here and there has been psychologically...this place has been rough on me. But two months to go and maybe it will get better. Seen good times and bad....that is why this place is like a family.

It is really neat to look back... well sometimes it is not neat, but it is nice to be able to reflect on time past. It is always nice to know where you are going, but it is always good to know where you've been. So much has changed in my life over the last 6 almost 7 years. It is all thanks to RC that I have had the pleasure of having friends to share them with.

Good to hear from you Tom.

You were gone? :D

Good to see you. You need to drop in more often.

My 7 year anniversary is coming up in April.
It's hard to believe what I've been through in the time I've been a member of this forum, and it's good to know how many other members have gotten through 'life's bumps' thanks to RCNT.

I'm happy to have shared those times with you Tom!

I'll always have great memories of the cool avatars you let me pick out for you in the past.....Great times

Seriously, you should get that quote as a registered trademark :stick:

Always good to see ya jump back on the boards every here and then. I've been through a lot myself over my years here. Married right at the beginning, 2 kids, new job for company I liked, bought out by company I hate, new job with same company I hate, new job with same company I hate, new job with company I hate. Gawd I wish AP coulda bought us. Anyways, enough about me.

Let's see some more Dale r/c lids!

It's always good to hear that someone has their priorities straight. Glad that your little one is doing well. Soon she should be able to go and help her daddy drive his toys.

Thanks Guys! Rolex does need to get that line trademarked! You know the one thing that has remained constant, other than my receeding hair line is this site. It is still the best site on the web for RC and still has a great group of core guys, and even a few gals over the years. I guess I'm like the kid that has grown up and moved out of their parents house. I may not be around as much as I used to be, but you can bet that I will drop in when the laundry needs done or a good meal! LOL I have not gotten out of RC, just toned it down a bit. I still get the Xtreame and RCCA in the mail, and wish I had more money than sense. In fact if it would dry up around here I have some work I would like to do on the track out back to get it ready for spring and summer bashing. I am sure my daughter is going to run the RC's. She's into that "I do it myself Daddy!" stage! LOL

Tom

What I remember most was the hard drive crash and what you had to go through to get them back.

I'm like you, everytime I turn around, something is taking my money and time and I'm not able to enjoy our loved hobby.

Man I still have not ever lived that one down! I still get reminded of that one. Well at least some good came out of it. I was able to go out and buy a good 2TB backup system!

I've learned that sometimes my screw ups result in me getting new toys...LOL. Not sure if it's worth all the grief though.
