So its a beautiful day off, there's a free short (very short) short course track at a local hobby shop so I knew it would be dead there so I dropped kids off at sitters and off I went with my new SCT and newly brushless SCB for some practice. Having a blast switching back and forth between cars when I had my first malfunction other then a stripped gear with the SCB. It handles like a dream and blows the SCT out of the water on this track. I was getting pretty comfortable with handling on this damp sandy track so I started opening up the throttle. I hit a straight away wide open and all of a sudden the buggy went wild on me and shot nearly 90° off the track in a ferocious spin out. It wasn't a break, but the screw that holds the turnbuckle on to the rear wheel. It shot into the snow fence so hard and fast it ripped it from the posts. Lesson learned, do more then just a quick check before doing any real driving. I spent all night last night on the SCT installing the smashed up front end with a ton of graphite parts and got lazy on the SCB only installing a new TX/RX and by the time it was 1am. Shoulda known better, but lesson learned. Fun pics below...
Enjoying a smoke break while packs charge, figured I'd share since electric sections been slow lately.
